Important : If you are upgrading from a previous release :
The format of the event database file has changed. You cannot load the old event dabase file with the new release. You have to import the event data from an export file created with the old version.
From version 0.98 to 0.99 the format of the export file has been changed too. If you are upgrading from version 0.98x, you have to run the import with the -u flag.
See Administration for details about export and import of event data.

Create a separate Directory for WebReminder.
Unzip the WebReminder.zip file.

WebReminder.bat is the start batch file for Windows.
WebReminder.sh is the start script for Unix.
Edit the start script and change the path to the java executable.

Note : Before you edit and change the config files distributed with WebReminder you should make a copy of them for future reference !

WebReminder.cfg is the main config file.
Edit this file and change the values according to your environment.

Run the start script. WebReminder tells you the URL for access via Web Browser.
You can log on now as administrator using the userid and password specified in WebReminder.cfg.
You can create user accounts via the web admin interface.
