LITTLEBIRD!

Littlebird is a Fischer's lovebird who came to live with Meredith on May 7, 1999.   At first he was very unsure about his new blue cage and strange toys.  It was very different from the pet store where he lived before.  But soon Littlebird perked up and started talking to the pretty bird in the mirror.  When Meredith puts his cage on the front porch in the sunshine, Littlebird talks to the birds outside and plays on his swing.  Littlebird likes to eat millet and to ring the bell on his mirror.   When Meredith takes him out of his cage, Littlebird flies around the room and lands either on the top of his cage or on top of the quilt hanging on the wall.  Meredith tried to clip his wings, but Littlebird can still fly very well.  When Meredith puts a perch in front of Littlebird, sometimes he will get on it.  Littlebird's favorite part of being out is going back into his nice, safe cage.  Littlebird loves to chirp and chirp and chirp.
