News/Announcements will be posted here!

October 18th - Conference was last Saturday, and for some of you it was the last race of the season. For most of us, it was a record setting day, and that's the way our superior CACHs have been planning it all year. For the girls it was a 4th place finish in a very tough conference. We worked very hard and had a successful day. Sadiemonster and Hannah had breakout races coming off of injuries. Those pool workouts DID pay off! Also having great races were Pogo, Pasch, and BUK for the guys. BUK set a very impressive PR in his first race since early season; Pasch and Pogo both went well below the 20:00 barrier. Nice job guys. Our boys team finished the day as conference champions, fighting off tough Eau Claire Memorial and River Falls teams. This is the first BRC championship guys team since 1981. Earning all-conference honors were Tara, Merkel, Shooter, "Dr." Wood, and Tonytyme. Wieland also ran a gutsy race, and finished with a very impressive 15th place. Congratulations to everyone for their great conference performances, and thanks for the great season this year! I hope everyone had as much fun as I did.

October 4th - Today was the day we've all been waiting for. Mr. Bergertyme-storytyme! Stev-o was obviously as great as it's always been. Just remember to quit while you're a head! HA! Chippewa Falls was an "accidental [g]ownage" for our boys team, but I'm sure we all know that Memorial will perform much better come the conference meet. River Falls also looked very good at Chi Hi. Many of our runners had spectacular races, especially Kendrick and Steve. Nice job guys. The girls weren't at full strengh either, but that didn't stop everyone and their mothers from PR'ing! Hopefully our "secret weapon" will start feeling better soon. Good luck everyone at Old Abe this Saturday!

September 30th, 2004 - With Roy Griak behind us, we only have a few weeks left in the season. For some of you, this means only two more races left! It's tough to believe the season has flown by so fast. The Kenyan Fartlek was a very hard workout, but if you can survive that, you can do anything! When you're coming down the homestretch at the Old Abe Invite and Conferece meet, just remember how hard you worked this season, and give it everything you have!

September 15th, 2004 - I haven't updated this for a while, but here goes. First of all, Menomonie Relays was a great stepping block for our boys team. We have proven to everyone that we can beat Memorial and it is now very apparent that our conference is indeed very strong this year. The girls are still missing a few people, but are looking pretty good themselves. Who knows what the girls can accomplish with a full team. Now we are entering the middle of the season and we will be doing some experiments with certain runners and we will be sitting some runners out that need to stay healthy. Hopefully this plan works out and we will have our best races at the end of the year, when it really matters! Our next meet is next Tuesday at Hudson, with a premeet at either my house or Sol's house. Until then...

September 2, 2004 - Today was the River Falls X-treme meet with mixed results. The plan for the race was to take the first of two loops on the course slow and be back in the pack, the two runners of each gender that passed the most people on their second loop get to draw from Topper's magic Box!!!. The boys team came home with 6 finishers in the top twenty and a dominant plaque, edging out River Falls by two points!!! Congratulations to the boys team. The lucky drawers from the lucky box are still to be announced. Other fun at the meet included Cach Mean Joe "Tran" Uhan taping supplementary footage for the video and "The agent" drinking from his military issue cantene while wearing his camo hat that rivals gove-dogg's.

August 30, 2004 - Husky Invite was last Saturday, and it was a great meet for almost everyone. Pretty much everyone PR'ed on a very fast course at the EC Wells. Our boys won the team competition with an impressive 42 points! Merkel got first overall in the exciting, rainy, nailbiter...setting a course and meet record in the process! Things are looking good for our guys, as we placed 5 runners ahead of Hudson's #2, RF's #3, and Chippwa's #1! Our girls ended up finishing eighth, even without four of our top seven runners! Tara and Marissa placed in their age groups. Great job everyone! In other news, Mean Joe "Tran" Uhan of Menomonie placed first in the open race with a time of 16:09!

August 23, 2004 - First update of the year. Good first week for all.
