Dear Visitor:

It is well known round and about the internet community that websites are capable of collecting vast quantities of information about visitors. So, you may be asking, what information am I collecting about you and what am I doing with it? Well, the short answer is virtually none and absolutely nothing.

For a while, I had a Site Meter on about half of my pages. It was more trouble than it was worth and told me nothing I care about, so I got rid of it.

On the Geocities pages of this site, Geocities probably collects some data that I know little about. You'll hafta go to their privacy statement to find out about that. A limited portion of the data they collect is available to me but I never check it because it's a buncha cryptic hogwash that tells me nothing useful.

On the Diaryland portion of this site, my Diaryland Gold Membership gives me the standard Diaryland Gold Stats, which I occasionally look at but I don't really understand what I'm looking at. I don't know whether Diaryland collects any other data.

So There! If you visit me and don't make any entries into my guestbook, opinion forum, e-mail, or whatever totally voluntary thing I've got round and about my site, I'll never know you were here. And I won't care, either. You may visit me in total secrecy if you jolly please.

The only kind of information I care about is what you, Dear Visitor, choose to tell me in your entry into my guestbook, opinion forum, or e-mail. You may tell all the lies you like, and I'll just believe every word of it.
