The Ballad of the Rainy Days

In an ancient time in the wild north land
From whence the fearsome Vikings came,
There dwelt the leader of a Viking band.
Rudolph the Red was his very own name.

To go pillaging castles he led his band
To Merrye Olde Englande across the sea.
It was pouring down rain upon sea and land
The entire duration of his plundering spree.

It rained all day and it rained all night.
It rained till the Vikings were soaked through and through.
The rain came down with all its might,
Thoroughly drenching the Viking crew.

When Rudolph returned home one evening very late,
"How was your trip?" his wife asked to hear.
All he could say, in his waterlogged state,
Was: "Rudolph the Red knows rain, Dear!"
