"Feminism is the radical notion that women are people" I got that from a bumper sticker that I saw and agree with. I don't want extra rights, just equal rights. I want people to stop perpetuating these stereotypes! Some of these things are ridiculous!

Here are some bits of information that may interest you:

If shop mannequins were real women, they'd be TOO THIN TO MENSTRUATE!

There are 3 billion women that DON'T look like supermodels and ONLY 8 who do!

Marilyn Monroe wore a size 12.

If Barbie were a real woman, 5'6", she'd weigh 110 pounds, have a 39 inch bust, an 18 inch waist and hips of 33 inches. Go here to see more about Barbie.

The average American woman weighs 144 pounds and wears between a size 12 and 14.

One out of every 4 college-age women has an eating disorder.

The models in magazines are air-brushed...THEY'RE NOT PERFECT!

A psychological study in 1995 found that 3 minutes spent looking at models in a fashion magazines caused 70% of women to feel depressed, guilty and shameful.

Models who 20 years ago weighed 8% less than the average women today weigh 23% less.

Isn't it time for this insanity to stop? Shouldn't we DEMAND that it stop? What we are presented with as beauty is not beauty but starvation!
