French Broad River pictures
Plus links below for other pages of Western North Carolina pictures on page 4.
These are pictures taken on a canoe trip my brother and I took down the<
French Broad river
near Asheville, NC. on Jan. 1- 04. It was 70 degrees and a super day for paddling.
Our first main sighting was this guy that was paddling up stream.
He said his daughter forgot the keys to their down river vehicle.
You will see him later on again.
There is an old chimney just up and center of the left edge of the rock.
We went 8 miles and this stretch of river is either a nice lowing flat water, easy to class 1 rapids.
I was glad to see a lot of horses since I like them.
The riders were on the road that runs along the river in the
Biltmore Estate area. This land is private and consists of 8800 acres and the river runs through it.
A look down stream.
