Drumming and Magick

Drumming and magick...for centuries, all of the "earth" religions have been associated with spirit drumming, that incorporates the folk drumming to the beat of their hearts, spirits, and the rhythm of the earth itself. This is done in present times usually in the form of private or public drum circles. Any type of drum or drumming is appropriate, and skill of the drummer is usually not taken into question, when one is drumming to the beat of their own path. Wellness of physical health, as well as mental, emotional, and spiritual is the main goal, as well as just having a grand old time.

Drums were used as communications as well. The Druidic drum bards, the Taiko drummers of Japan, as well as the Native American tribal drummers are just a few honorable mentions. Messages were sent to others of the clan or neighboring tribes via particular drum patterns. These drummers also used a variant of these "languages" to send up prayers or spells during ceremonies and rituals.
