Greetings, fair folk. There are many new things here in the Druid's Lair, and I want to take some time to explain them. There have been some great revelations and changes, mostly in the approach of the way I practice my faith. As we all know, all magickal folk must maintain a balance of things, as with nature. This also includes the lighter and darker sides of your psyche as well. This time around I am exploring the darker side of the coin...the side that needs more thought to control.
 

By referring to the darker aspect, I do not refer to the "evil" side, as most folk with any remanents of a Christian upbringing will think automatically. What I refer to is the more unrestrained, uninhibited side of the spirit...the one that is not prone to follow the dictates of society...the "wild" side, as it were. It is as much a crucial part of you as is the side that must "conform" to everyday requirements. In order to control it, you must understand it, know it's limits, and set your own limits for it. Only then can you really achieve balance. This also includes getting in touch with your masculine/feminine aspects as well. Gain control, and gain balance. Work not in the black or the white, but in the grey...too much of one or the other requires a price of the spell caster. The grey utilizes both equally, and the prices cancel each other out.
And for those who have had the misconception that spellwork cannot be done during an eclipse...WRONG !!! If you have true balance, you can achieve phenominal results during the eclipse, using both the solar and lunars energies in concert with one another.

One more thing, fair folk...don't let mundane matters interfere with your daily spirituality. On the other hand, use your spirituality to enhance your daily life, and strengthen you for the handling of those mundane matters.
