Just a brief family history you might
enjoy, maybe not, so
that you get to know us somewhat
better. I
was born in
Lafayette, Jean in Hammond. Both in
Indiana. We both
however grew up in Hammond and
Whiting. I
attended George
Rogers Clark High school and she
attended
Hammond Tech. I grew up during the 60's, that good old era that everyone should have to experience. That's where on your senior trip, the girls went to Washington and the guys went to Viet Nam. I decided, at 17, to join the Navy instead of waiting to be drafted. Did Boot Camp at Great Lakes and Crypto school in Pensacola, Fl, then went on to tours of duty in Panama and Japan. Got married while in Panama and that resulted in 2 daughters, Tasha (Jennifer Natasha) and Amanda Nikole. Jean, my current wife, and I got married in 1981. She grew up, as I said in Hammond and graduated in 75, after all the good music died. She worked in Chicago for years, then transferred down to the Indianapolis area in 85. She is an only child, while I have 3 brothers living and one sister, deceased. Mom and Dad live in Renssalaer and Jean's family still live in Hammond. On a sad note, just recently lost my father on June 30 of this year, 1999. Will be sorely missed by everyone that ever knew him. My youngest daughter, Amanda, just recently got married down in Jamaica. Amanda and her husband, Jeremy and Austin live in Oklahoma City. She became an instant mother, as Jeremy has a son from previously. May the Saints in Heaven forgive me, I failed to mention this earlier, my step-grandson, Austin is 3 years old and we met him recently and he has us hooked now. Reminds me of Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes. When I say Austin is 3, I mean 3 goin on 21. He is so smart for his age. Talked to him one day on the phone and he said he had a job flipping hamburgers at Carl Jrs, next time I talked to him he said he gave that up and was now building malls. Every time we talk to him it is something new. And he says he loves women and has many girlfriends, usually much older. We will get to see Austin again this 4th of July as they are coming out for a visit. Can't wait. Plan on having lightsaber duels with our new Star Wars Lightsabers that will be waiting for him when he gets here. Tasha, my oldest daughter, is more the free spirit type. She hasn't quite settled down into any regular routine yet. She has lived here in Indiana for the last 2 years approx., and before that in Oklahoma City and Kansas City. Hmmm, could things possibly be changing. Here is a shot of my free spirited daughter and her boyfriend Bryan. Tasha and Bryan NEW UPDATE to this file. Tasha and Bryan have finally decided to tie the knot, sometime in the year 2001. Tasha actually made a decision that didn't take her forever to make, which is an inside joke with us. Bryan will be a very welcome addition to our family and we are looking forward to next year. ALSO, like her sister Amanda, Tasha will become an instant step-mom as well. Bryan has a darling little daughter named Jordan, whom we have entertained several times here at home. A new picture of them will be added here shortly when Jean gets a chance to get it done. Jordan absolutely loves Brittnay Spears and Christina Aguillera (sp) and has renamed all of her Barbie dolls Christina and Brittany. She lives up in Valparaiso, IN. The girl loves to work in the garden, another inside joke. This is my buddy,Oreo. He thinks he is King of the house but the girl cats quite often let him know who is the boss of the Felines. More about him on Jean's Kitty Kat Haven homepage. Another new addition to the household is Jeans' new baby, Nikita Noel. A 65 pound baby that is. She is Jeans' new Rottweiler and is spoiled rotten. She looks and sounds tough but is a real sissy dog. There are so many funny stories about her, I wish I could share them all with you, but it would take pages and pages to do so. My boss, Mike Staller, is her Uncle Mike and Jeans' friend Melanie is her Auntie Mel. For some reason they both love her to death. Go figure.
