The ANEF system was originally designed to be used by land use
planning authorities when they are considering which kinds of
developments should be allowed in areas around airports. The
Table below shows the recommended ANEF land use planning controls.
For example, under the ANEF system it is recommended that new
houses not be built within the 25 ANEF.
