Yes, the rumor you heard is correct,
and I verify it here.
This is, indeed, the selfsame nectar the gods themselves feed upon!
There is no other.
THREE INGREDIENTS:
Clamato Juice Tabasco Sauce Beer
1. Pour 4 ounces of Mott's Clamato
Juice into a pint beer glass.
2. Splash plenty of Tabasco Sauce on
top of the juice.
3. Tilt glass and slowly pour in as
much of 12 ounces of beer as will fit. 10-11 ounces will be fine.
The drink should fizz and sparkle
nicely. There is nothing better.
Note: Do not use a decent beer for
this. The point is to make cheap beer delicious. Doing this with a nice
Sam Adams Boston Lager would be silly. People who say to pour in your
favorite beer are only right when you are the kind of person who thinks
that there is any taste difference between Bud or Miller or any of
those beers when there isn't. Yes, you can use Bud etc. The best idea
is to buy on sale a 30-pack of Old Milwaukee Light and use that. Cheap
and tastes great with the tomato.
You can use regular tomato juice or
even V8, but my recipe calls for Clamato. Yes, I love monosodium
glutamate.
