About Us

Delphic of Gamma Sigma Tau Fraternity is one of the oldest independent Greek letter organizations in the country and the first official multicultural fraternity established on the East coast.

The organization traces its history back to the formation of the Delphic Society in 1871 at the Geneseo State Normal School in upstate New York. With affiliation at other schools, the society became the Delphic Fraternity. Today, the organization is incorporated as The Delphic Fraternity, Inc. and known as Delphic of Gamma Sigma Tau Fraternity. It has an active chapter at Binghamton University, an interest group at the University of Virginia, and an alumni chapter at the State University of New York at New Paltz.
