Who Am I?

"...a BIG welcome to you guys!!"

Who is this guy?

As I have introduced, my name is Joshua, a medic at St. John's College, University of Cambridge. I was born in Hong Kong, "the pearl of oriental", where I spent all of my childhood and most of my teenage. I went to Wah Yan College, Kowloon, for my secondary education and I cannot enjoy more the time I was there. Even today if you ask of me the most memorable period in my academic career so far, I would have no doubt telling you I enjoyed most the time I spent in WYK.

After this I went to England, for a reason. I wanted to be a doctor for all my life; I love the academic challenge as well as the sense of success in helping those in deep sufferings. But I also understand that the chance of getting into a good medical school in England is minute as an overseas applicant. As a result, I decided to go to England for my A-Levels. I went to the famous Eton College close to the Windsor Castle for 2 years. During which time I enjoyed tremendously the experience of English tradition, for example, we have to wear "tailcoats" for school everyday, go to chapel with HRH Prince William of Wales, and the best of all, I really enjoyed playing in the Eton College Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, and singing in the world-touring Eton College Chapel Choir.

I should say it's a bit of luck that I finally got into where I set my course towards - Cambridge. At the time I wrote this web site I just started the third year of my medical study in Cambridge. Cambridge is a totally different experience. It is a very beautiful university city, with so many lovely parks scattered around; it is also a city with an interesting mixture of strong tradition and exploding modern development. The University, unlike most other university in Hong Kong, is not a campus university, to the contrary, the whole university developed herself all over the area. This is the reason why we have to cycle all the times in Cambridge, since it might take as long as half an hour to forty-five minutes walk if we want to travel between departments.

OK, I'll leave you guys with the details here. If you are interested in any of the above establishment or indeed interested in studying in England, please feel free to follow the hyperlinks above; alternatively you can drop me an email anytime:-)
