c.
15,000,000,000 BCE |
The
universe is formed in a massive explosion known as the big bang. |
c.
3,500,000,000 BCE |
A
sentient humanoid race, the first to evolve in this galaxy, seeds the oceans
of a thousand planets with their DNA, ensuring that humanoid life eventually
develops on those worlds. |
c.
65,000,000 BCE |
The Vok civilization of Earth
flourishes, developing industry, wide scale communications, and primitive
space flight. Threatened by asteroid impacts, the Vok construct a fleet of
sub light sleeper ships to evacuate much of their population. |
c.
5,000,000 BCE |
Voth Space Command, a massive starbase
in orbit of the Voth homeworld, is constructed. Over the next five million
years, the station continues to serve as the core of the Voth’s planetary
defenses. |
c.
4,000,000 BCE |
A Voth explorer ship encounters a
primitive sentient race on a world several hundred light years from the Voth
homeworld. The discovery of sentient alien life shocks Voth society, forcing
the revision of many of the Voth most important belief systems. |
c.
1,000,000 BCE |
The T’kon home star goes nova,
destroying the homeworld of the galaxy spanning T’kon Imperium. With the loss
of their political and industrial capital, the T’kon civilization gradually
collapses over the next few thousand years. |
c.
500,000 BCE |
Civilization flourishes on the planet Bajor. The Bajoran culture boasts
great architects, artists, builders, and philosophers. However, their society
remains stagnant for tens of thousands of years. |
c.
250,000 BCE |
The Iconian Empire thrives, establishing colonies on dozens of worlds
across the galaxy. Expanding through conquest and relying on their 'gateways'
to secure their victories, the Iconians soon gain the title of 'Demons of Air
and Darkness'. However, their expansion is halted by the presence of the
surviving remnants of the T’kon Imperium. |
c.
250,000 – 200,000 BCE |
The surviving remnants of
T’kon and the Iconian Empire battle one another for supremacy. The two galaxy
spanning empires war for millennia, devastating countless worlds, wiping out
entire species in their struggle. Evenly matched in terms of size, the
Iconian Empire still lagged far behind the T’kon forces technologically. In
an effort to eliminate their mortal enemies, the Iconians fleet is
deployed in an effort to find some new weapon or technology that could aid
them. |
c.
205,000 BCE |
The Iconian fleet finds a primitive race dwelling on the second planet
of the Vagra system, which, though lacking anything beyond the most basic
signs of civilization, possess a natural tendency towards strong telepathy
and telekinesis. Deciding that telepathy would be a valuable asset in their
war, the Iconians secretly transfer the primitive beings from the Vagra star
system to a safe staging area closer to their own space - the first planet of
the binary Sheliak system. The T’kon make first contact with the Veriphos species, and warns them
of the threat posed by the Iconians. The Veriphos began making preparations
in case they should be attacked by this threat, in the end constructing a
Dyson’s Sphere, or in their language, a ‘Myrythyl’, to serve as a last refuge
for their race. Unfortunately, a malfunction on the Myrythyl’s cloaking system causes
the structure to be lost in subspace soon after it is activated. |
c.
200,000 BCE |
A
combined force of T’kon, Promelians, Menthar, Husnok and Chodak launch a
devastating assault against the Iconian homeworld. Much of the Iconian fleet
is destroyed, and their empire soon collapsed to internal rebellions soon
after. Among
the ships hidden was a Su’vra’ation class mothership, hidden in sector 6726,
near the Sheliak star system. Prior
to the fall of Iconia, one of the Sheliak leaders, Sharel, is entrusted with
preserving the Source Code genome, which is stored in sections of his DNA.
This genome will be transferred to his descendents across the millennia,
ensuring it will not be lost. Following
the fall of Iconia, the T’kon are able to obtain samples of the Source Code
from the Iconian database. Soon
after this victory, many Chodak and T’kon begin leaving the Milky way galaxy,
intending to settle in the far distant Andromeda spiral. The reasons for this
mass exodus remain unclear. The
Likarion civilization develops the warp drive. |
c.
195,000 BCE |
The
first Sheliak built spacecraft enters orbit, and soon after, the first manned
Sheliak craft are constructed. The
First Corporate is formed to coordinate the Sheliak space program, and became
increasingly important to Sheliak society, particularly following the establishment
of the first Sheliak offworld colonies. |
c.
190,000 BCE |
The
handful of Iltarian colonists to survive the Veriphos orbital bombardment of
their world begin to rebuild their civilization. Under the leadership of a psuedo-religious
group known as the Fel’ahnoi, the Iltarians slowly begin to restore the
cities of Iltar and to rebuild their technology. |
c.
175,000 BCE |
The
Chodak, after twenty-five thousand years of travelling through the void, find
the ‘Arkolis Passageway’, a semi-stable wormhole leading to Andromeda galaxy.
Upon arriving, they begin colonising several worlds there. Soon afterward,
they make contact with the Likarion civilization, and establish peaceful
relations. The
T’kon forces are not so fortunate, and drift through the void alone for
thousands of years, after their colony ship was damaged in an ion storm.
Eventually, they find an inhabitable world, which they name ‘Va’ha’andar’. The
world was inhabited by a semi-sentient species, known as the Vo’dalak’ians.
The T’kon enter into orbit, and begin experiments on the native life forms,
using Iconian source code technology, eventually developing a highly advanced
species known as the Vo’dal. The
surviving T’kon then use the source code to advance their own development,
enhancing their lifespan, and granting themselves telepathic powers. In time,
these enhanced T’kon make contact with the Vo’dal, who revere them as gods.
Eventually, the T’kon come to believe them. The
T’kon, now stylising themselves ‘Overseers’, war amongst themselves, until in
the end, only one survives. This last Overseer will rule over the Vo’dal
civilization for tens of millennia to come. On
the Sheliak homeworld, the First Corporate reaches a level of power that it
becomes officially recognised as the governing body ruling over all Sheliak
systems. |
c.
150,000 BCE |
The
last remnants of the T’kon Empire in the Alpha Quadrant finally collapse into
anarchy. Much of their technology is lost or destroyed in the years that
followed. |
c.
100,000 BCE |
An
unknown species, dwelling on the edge of the Beta Quadrant, that lived in symbiosis
with a species of organic starships is attacked by a race known as the
H’aklar. Most of their civilization is destroyed in the initial attacks. In
response, the species orders the complete extermination of the H’aklar.
Within a year, they had killed every member of the H’aklar species. Overcome
by guilt and horror regarding the genocide they had carried out, the species
opt to spend their remaining years exploring the stars alone in their organic
ships. Few of their kind are born, and their species dies out within three
hundred years. Their
ships endure, and continue to travel space alone. Many are driven mad by
loneliness, and commit suicide, flying themselves into the heart of stars. By
the twenty-fourth century, only two of these ships survive – ‘Gomtuu’ and
‘Moutuu’. An
unknown species constructs a massive communications network spanning most of
the Delta Quadrant. Consisting of a series of highly advanced relay stations,
powered by artificial quantum singularities, the array allows almost instant
communication across a distance of almost fifty thousand light years. Though
some of the individual relays will eventually degrade, the bulk of the array
remains operational well into the twenty-fifth century, long after its
creators have vanished. |
57,283
BCE |
The
first case of the Lasah Plague is reported on an outlying Likarion colony
world. Over the next five centuries, the plague would devastate Likarion
civilization, killing billions, and bringing the Likarion species to the
brink of extinction. |
56,790
BCE |
In
a desperate attempt to ensure the survival of Likarion culture, the first
Likarion androids are activated. Intended to be the replacements for the
dying organic Likarion race, the androids are produced in large numbers, and
following the extinction of the organic Likarions, inherit the remains of the
Likarion civilization. |
56,720
BCE |
The
last organic Likarion dies of the Lasha Plague. |
c.
20,000 BCE |
Sceon
is first activated on Likaria Prime. In time, she will eventually become the
eldest of all Likarion, and be appointed as the Scientia of the Likarion
Circle. |
11,032
BCE |
The
Likarions restore contact with the Chodak civilization. Contact had been lost
during the chaos of the Lasha plague, and thus this is the first the Chodak
learn of the death of the organic Likarion species, and the creation of the
androids. |
c.
10,000 BCE |
Gint,
the enlightened Profit of Greed, is born on Ferenginar. Gint eventually rises
to become the first Grand Nagus of a unified Ferenginar, and codifies much of
the rules and customs of Ferengi society. |
c.
8500 BCE |
The
Tholian nations begin work on creating a unified planetary government. Writing
the constitution of this body would take several hundred years, but would
result in the creation of the Tholian Assembly. |
c.
7000 BCE |
The
Tholian Assembly is founded on the Tholian homeworld. Hevork is elected first
High Elder of the Assembly. His policies focus primarily on unifying Tholis,
and starting the Tholian people on the road to spaceflight. |
c.
5000 BCE |
The
Tholis Space Agency is founded on the Tholian homeworld. Unmanned probes are
launched to survey the other planets of the Tholian system, and discover that
most of its worlds are habitable with minimal need for teraforming. |
c.
5200 BCE |
The
first Tholian colony ships are constructed, transporting ten thousand Tholian
colonists to the world of Tholis II. |
c.
4000 BCE |
The
first large scale human civilizations develop on Earth, in the Sumer, Nile,
and Indus regions of that planet. The
Chodak remnants still living in the Milky Way construct a great machine,
known as the ‘Unity Device’. Capable of transforming energy into matter, and
matter into energy, the device gave the Chodak almost unlimited power. With
the Unity Device, the Chodak begin carving out an empire for themselves.
Known as the Chodak Stellar Empire, their goal is to unite the quadrant under
their leadership, ruling as enlightened despots. However,
their methods of conquest are brutal. Soon, many Chodak begin to question
their leadership’s motives. Eventually, a small band of rebels sabotage the
Unity Device, destroying the source of the Stellar Empire’s power. It
is believed that the Iconians aided these rebels in some way. The
Unity Device was not destroyed, only lost. It remained active, its crew
gradually merging with the machinery. According to legend, it still operates,
slowly reshaping the universe in accordance with its unknowable goals... |
c.
3800 BCE |
The
bronze age Felisian civilization is transported from the planet Tzenketh to a
world in another star system, through means unknown. It is speculated the
Preservers were responsible, in an attempt to ensure the Felisians would be
able to prosper without interference from the Tzenkethi species, the other
sapient race native to Tzenketh. |
3247
BCE |
The
Tholian Assembly begins colonisation of Tholis III. |
2997
BCE |
Tholian
colonists establish the first outposts on the fifth world of the Tholis
system. |
2951
BCE |
The
first Tholian colony ship to be equipped with warp drive is lost with all
hands soon after launch. The cause of the accident remains unclear. |
2889
BCE |
A
second Tholian warp colony ship is constructed, and successfully carries a
crew of ten thousand colonists to the Eridan II star system. There, a colony
is established on the world of Sharya. |
c.
2500 BCE |
The
first cities are built on the Devore homeworld, as the native Devore begin to
develop agriculture, writing, and the other basics of civilization. Over
the next few centuries, the pattern of early Devore society is set, with the
more advanced city dwellers standing in opposition to the nomadic plains dwellers,
who maintain a hunter-gatherer lifestyle, and look on the farmers of the
cities as weaker and inferior. |
1951
BCE |
Tholian
High Elder Hervok dies of old age on the Tholian homeworld. Without a clear
line of succession, the Tholian assembly falls into chaos. Two factions
emerge, led by the powerful Tholian leaders Boldrek and Hergan. Neither side
accepts the others leadership, resulting in a long and bloody civil war. |
1631
BCE |
After
more than three centuries of erratic warfare, the Tholian Civil War finally
comes to an end, following a series of major victories by forces loyal to
Hergan. |
1294
BCE |
Future
Tholian High Elder Hemlock is born on Tholis. |
584
BCE |
The
Vidiian homeworld is united under a single global government, the Vidiian
Sodality. |
c.
400 BCE |
The
Inshari compact, an alliance of more than thirty space-faring races,
including Promellia and Menthar, is devastated when their capital system of
Sigma-1014 Orionis is destroyed by a sunkiller bomb. With the loss of their
capital, the Compact collapses into anarchy, and most of its member worlds
are greatly weakened. The
Orion Congeries, a loose alliance of merchants, fills the power vacuum left
by the demise of the Inshari. Ruthless in their expansionism, the Orions
institute a reign of terror across the quadrant for more than five centuries. It
remains unknown who detonated the sunkiller that destroyed Sigma-1014
Orionis. Most blame the Orions, though some historians have recently
speculated that the Iconian remnants initiated the star’s destruction, as
part of their ongoing campaign of revenge. |
320
BCE |
Tholian
High Elder Hergan is killed in a transporter malfunction. His untimely death
leaves a power vacuum within the Assembly, but the situation is eventually
resolved with the appointment of a junior councillor by the name of Hemlock
to the position of High Elder. |
87
BCE |
The
first Vidiian spacecraft enters orbit. Over the next few decades, unmanned
probes will survey all the planets of the Vidiian star system, and permanent
scientific outposts will be established on several of the system’s moons. |
c.
70 BCE |
The
philosopher Surak is born on Vulcan. During his lifetime, he will preach a
philosophy of logic, peace, and acceptance, which will gradually spread
across Vulcan, putting an end to the constant warfare consuming that world,
and creating the Vulcan civilisation as it now exists. During
this period, an Orion faction makes first contact with Vulcan, marking that
world’s first encounter with alien life. The Orions kidnap the planet’s
leaders, and attempt to hold Vulcan civilization to ransom. However, the
Vulcans are able to drive the aliens off in a short, but bloody struggle. Following
the expulsion of the Orions, schisms occur in Vulcan society as to how to
deal with an apparently hostile galaxy. Surak and his followers continue to
preach a policy of logic and pacifism, but many believe that the only way to
deal with militaristic aliens is to become equally militaristic themselves. In
time, this faction of Vulcans opts to leave the system peacefully, to found
their own civilization. Eventually landing in the 128 Trianguli System, these
renegade Vulcans found what will eventually become the Romulan Star Empire. |
82
CE |
The
first Vidiian spacecraft equipped with warp drive breaks the light barrier,
achieving a speed of 5.3 times the speed of light. |
c.
100 CE |
Civil
war breaks out between the worlds of the Orion Congeries. Various factions,
seeking dominance over their rivals, lay waste to dozens of worlds. By the
time the wars end, much of Orion civilization is in ruins, and their advanced
technology lost. The
Orions never recover from this devastating war, gradually declining further.
By the twenty-fifth century, all than remains of the Orion civilization is a
few isolated pirate clans and crime syndicates. |
312
CE |
On
the Cardassian homeworld, the governor of the easternmost province of the
continent spanning Hebetian empire declares his independence. The Hebetian
emperor, Garet VI, ignores the rebellion. |
360
CE |
The
last emperor of the Hebetian Empire, Enal the Unready, is assassinated. This

attempts to unify their region of space, under their control, in a political
organization known simply as ‘The Dominion’ |
432
CE |
The
Dominion conquers the planet Kuril Prime, exterminating the native Kurillian
race. Following their occupation, the Dominion begins genetic experiments on one
of the planet’s native life forms, a quasi-sentient ape like species. The
ultimate result of these experiments would be the creation of the Vorta, who
would eventually become the administrative caste of the Dominion. |
450

962
CE |
On
the T-Roggorian homeworld of Trenix, L’usuri, leader of one of the planet’s
five imperial powers, attempts to assassinate the leaders of the other four
nations. His attempt is only half successful, two of the targets survive.
This attack sparks what becomes known as the Great War, as L’usuri’s forces
battle those of the other empires in a planet wide conflict. |
974
CE |
The
Great War of Trenix comes to an end, with L’usuri’s forces triumphant, and
the entire planet united under his rule. |

outpost fully self-sufficient. |
1024
CE |
L’usuri,
first Star Lord and uniter of the T-Roggorian race, dies of old age. He is
succeeded by a council of administrator caste leaders, who attempt to focus
on infrastructure and stability, at the expense of weaponry and expansion
into space. As a result, they are quickly overthrown by Warrior Caste
leaders, who rule Trenix for the next several centuries. |
1062

ignores the technology for almost a century. |
1072
CE |
On
the Klingon homeworld, rebels in the city of Tong’vey declare themselves
independent of the reigning Emperor, Sompek I. In response, Sompek orders his
armies to burn the city to the ground. As
news of the destruction of Tong’ve spread, rebel groups across Qo’noS take up
arms to oppose Sompek’s rule. Sompek personally leads an army to crush the
rebels, only to fall victim to a palace coup, as his younger brother seizes
power in his absence. Within
a few years, Sompek and his brother would both be killed, and rebellions of
increasing size would tear the First Empire apart. |
c.
1100 CE |
The
Felisian civilization develops warp drive, and begins explorations of the
surrounding systems, eventually making contact with the still pre-warp
Tzenkethi civilization. First
contact goes poorly; the Felisian emissaries are killed, and their spacecraft
destroyed by Tzenkethi troops. Several more attempts are made by the
Felisians to establish peaceful contact with the Tzenkethi – all such
missions meed similarly bloody ends. The
first great empires of the Devore homeworld are forged, as ambitious leaders
forge alliances between the technologically advanced city-states, and the
militarily powerful plains nomads. Some of these empires would last right up
to the dawn of the spaceflight era. |
1104
CE |
Tamar
III of the Cardassian kingdom of Detap, dies of old age. Under his rule, he
had carved out the largest empire on Cardassia since the fall of the old
Hebetian Empire. |

The
T-Roggorian Imperium thrives, controlling more than two dozen systems, the
majority of them conquered worlds. Subject races are treated as less than
slaves, and dissent is brutally suppressed by the ruling warrior caste. |
1201
CE |
Following
the conquest of the Hebetian river valley, the birthplace of Cardassian civilization,
Queen Eneth I of the Detapa Kingdom orders a new capital be build at Hebetia,
and declares the Detapa Kingdom the Second Hebetian Empire, and heir to its
traditions and glory. |

cybernetic implants and prothesis. Within twenty years, the race will be
dependent upon their cybernetic components. |
1235
CE |
The
twenty-one nations of the Eldarian homeworld unite in a single global
government. It is believed this decision was made in response to the fear of
a nuclear war between two of the Eldarian nations; nuclear fusion having been
recently developed by several nation-states. The
proto-Borg develop nanotechnology, greatly increasing life spans and curing
all known diseases. |
1240
CE |
The
proto-Borg develop the technology needed to interface minds directly, without
need for verbal communications. Science and technology advance rapidly. |

Eldarian colony ship is launched to colonise Eldah’l, the only other planet
in the Eldarian home system. |
1287
CE |
The
Eldarian navy uses nuclear weapons to destroy a Khazed deep space refuelling
outpost, located halfway between the Eldarian and Khazed homeworlds. The
attack destroys most of the Khazed fleet, and prevents them from launching
attacks against the Eldarian homeworld. The
Eldarians follow up their victory with an attack against the Khazed
homeworld. The Khazed refuse to surrender, forcing the Eldarians to once
again use nuclear weapons against their enemies. |
c.
1300 CE |
The
first races are forcibly assimilated into the Borg Collective. |
1347
CE |

functions are placed under the jurisdiction of the mega-corporations. |
c.
1400 CE |
The
last remnants of the Promelian and Menthar civilizations, greatly reduced
from their former glory, battle one another to their mutual extinction. Their
final battle, in the Orelious system, destroys both sides, as well as much of
the star system itself. It
is speculated that the Iconians played a role in initiating the
Promelian-Menthar conflict. |

1449
CE |
Turei
scientists unlock the secret of the Warp Drive. |
1453
CE |
The
colonies of the Eldarian species vote unanimously against independence. As a
result, the Eldarian planetary constitution is redrafted to accommodate the
colonial governments, resulting in the creation of the Eldarian Universa, a
confederation of the various Eldarian planets united under one government. The
Vaadwaur Republic makes first contact with the Turei, and deems them a threat
to the Republic. Vaadwaur ships are deployed to ensure the conquest of the
Turei homeworld. |
1456
CE |
On
Cardassia Prime, the last Emperor of the Second Hebetian Empire, Tamar VI,
abdicates, turning all power over to the Detapa Council. |
1457
CE |
Vaadwaur
forces conquer the Turei homeworld, though small rebel groups continue to
oppose their rule. |
1482
CE |
Rebel
movements gain strength throughout the Vaadwaur Republic. Forces are
withdrawn from several outlying worlds to deal with the uprisings. With
the lessened military presence, Turei rebels are able to score their first
true victories, seizing Vaadwaur military equipment. |
1486
CE |
An
alien race known as the Hanai invades the Breen homeworld. The Breen
government is slaughtered, and the lack of any organised planetary military
leads to a swift takeover of the entire planet by the Hanai armies. Breen
resistance forces continue to fight a four year long war against the
invaders. |
1490
CE |
A
particularly harsh winter on Breen results in massive casualties among the
Hanai occupation armies. The Breen resistance quickly takes advantage of
their weakness with a three month long bombing campaign against Hanai forces
across Breen. |
1493
CE |
Three
Vaadwaur frigates are captured by Turei rebels, who use them to make contact
with neighbouring star systems, many of which are also home to rebel
movements against the Vaadwaur. The Turei rebels begin forging alliances with
other rebel movements to overthrow the Republic. |
1498
CE |
The
Vaadwaur are forced to withdraw from Turei. Turei scientists begin reverse
engineering the remaining Vaadwaur technology. |
c.
1500 CE |
The
Borg Collective is weakened in an unknown incident, resulting in the loss of
much of their data and resources. |
1501
CE |
Turei
forces help liberate several neighbouring worlds from Vaadwaur oppression,
providing local rebels with advanced weapons and air support. |
1504
CE |
Thot
Kron, one of the leaders of the Breen resistance against the Hanai, is able
to unify the Breen homeworld under his rule, forming the Breen Confederacy.
Though successful in rebuilding Breen following the devastation of four years
of Hanai rule, Kron’s government is marked by a ruthless suppression of
dissent, and marks the beginning of Breen’s xenophobia and tendency towards
dictatorships backed by an ever growing military. |
1554
CE |
The
Turei, in alliance with eleven other races, bombard the Vaadwaur homeworld
from orbit, eliminating the last world still under Republic control. In
the final days before the fall of their capital, a legion of elite Vaadwaur
troops is placed in stasis beneath the capital, along with a small fleet of
warships. Their stasis pods are programmed to awaken them within five years,
at which time it is hoped that the Turei alliance will have fallen apart.
However, the computer controlling the stasis pods is damaged in an attack,
and fails to wake the Vaadwaur. They will remain in stasis for over nine
hundred years. At
its height, the Vaadwaur Republic extended as far as Talax, almost 35,000
light years from their homeworld. |
1555
CE |
The
Turei stake a claim to the Vaadwaur ‘underspace’ subspace corridor network,
over the objections of their allies, who wish the network remain open to all
races. |
1558
CE |
The

The
Vali nation of Parada destroys the last pockets of resistance to their rule
on the Parada homeworld, and soon turns their eye towards Parada IV, home to
the still independent Muoi colonies. The

attention. |
1882
CE |
Following
an amphibious invasion of several coastal cities by naval Klingons, the
Klingon Emperor orders the rebellion of the sea-cities be crushed. Imperial
Marines are unable to capture the well defended cities, and are forced to
sink the floating city of Kelmar. In response to the city’s destruction, the
sea-dwellers unleash nuclear weapons against the capital of the Empire,
killing millions, including most of the royal court. Confused

The
land dwelling Klingons are finally able to mount an effective counter-attack against
the Klingons of the sea, and, following a series of defections by some of the
smaller sea-cities, are able to capture the naval capital, and retake control
of Qo’noS. Rule
of the reunified empire falls to a council of warlords, who primarily focus on
rebuilding Qo’noS, and recovering from the chaos of the war between land and
sea. |

After
eleven years of construction, the first military outpost is constructed in
orbit. Its builder demands the immediate surrender of the ruling council, or
he will use the station’s weapons against Qo’noS. The
people of Qo’noS overthrow the warlord council rather than risk them not
surrendering, and the station’s builder appoints himself Emperor of Qo’noS,
taking the name Kahless II. |

and studied by Yiridiian scientists, who are able to decipher the alien
language, and recover much of its data on the surrounding star systems. |
2050 |
Emperor
Kahless II of the Klingon Empire dies in combat against an unidentified alien
race. Soon after, the alien civilization is destroyed by the Klingon fleet. Kahless
II has no heirs, and no warlord or general has enough power to claim the
throne for themselves. As a result, power in the Empire falls to the High
Council, composed of the leaders of the largest of the great houses. The
position of emperor will remain vacant for more than three centuries. |
2060 |
A
T-Roggorian fleet conquers the Parada colony of M’falu, but are quickly repelled
by Parada reinforcements. This is the first T-Roggorian defeat in centuries,
and the T-Roggorian leaders choose to expand in other directions rather than
risk another. |

United Federation of Planets. This alliance will eventually become one of the
major powers of the Alpha Quadrant, dominating the region’s politics for
centuries to come. |
2170 |
Letant
is born on Romulus. By the twenty-fourth century, he will have reached the
position of Praetor of the Star Empire, leading it during the
Federation-Romulan war of 2407. In
the Delta Quadrant, the Krenim Imperium develops the first chronotron based
weaponry. Operating outside of normal space-time, these weapons give the
Krenim a major tactical advantage over their neighbours, and allowing them to
greatly expand their empire. At its height, the Krenim Imperium will include
over eight hundred and fifty worlds, covering a region of space almost five thousand
parsecs in diameter. Their
expansion will make them many enemies, however, most notably the Zahl,
Mawasi, Nyhidron, and Rilnar civilizations. |
2172 |
The
Great War, a series of nuclear conflicts between the nation states of the Yegani
homeworld comes to an end. Five
billion Yegani are killed by the end of the conflicts, and the planet’s
ecosystem is permanently damaged. |
2174 |
The
first Cardassian colony ships are constructed, and launched towards the
nearest star system. It is hoped expansion into space would alleviate
Cardassia Prime’s desperate resource shortage. A
fleet of powerful warships is constructed in the Devore system, intended to
destroy the Va’Prash Republic, and finally allow the Devore to expand into
space. Unprepared
for the attack, and utterly outgunned, the Va’Prash fleet proves unable to
halt the Devore armada. Over a period of five days, the Devore ruthlessly
exterminate all life on the Va’Prash homeworld, before moving out, and
conducting similar assaults against the Va’Prash colonies. The
leaders of the surviving nations of the Yegani homeworld meet to discuss ways
of resolving future conflicts. Over the next several years, these discussions
lead to the formation of a Yegani global government. |
2178 |
Cardassian
colony ships arrive at their destination, only to find the only inhabited
planet in the system already home to an alien civilization. The
last Va’Prash colony is destroyed by the Devore; there are no survivors. |

Yiridiian Alliance is formed, granting each of the Yiridiian colony worlds
greater autonomy, as well as representation on the World Security Council. |
2231 |
Tensions
between the nations of the Krinis homeworld reach the breaking point, as war breaks
out between the most populous nation-states. Later dubbed the “Doom War”, the
conflict would drag on for more than a century, killing hundreds of millions
of Krinis. |
2255 |
The
Federation makes first contact with the Sheliak Corporate. Despite some
initial misunderstandings, the two powers are able to eventually come to an
agreement. Sheliak emissaries agree to sign the Treaty of Armens, an
agreement intended to permanently define Sheliak-Federation relations. After
signing this treaty, the Sheliak return to isolation. They do not contact the
Federation again for more than a century. |
2256 |
The
first manned Yegani spacecraft reaches orbit. Over the next decades, Yegani
spaceflight would progress extremely quickly, resulting in the colonisation
of the moon and other planets of the Yegani system, as Yegani abandon their
blasted homeworld. |
2257 |
The
bulk of the Hierarchy’s homeworld’s supply of raw materials is finally
exhausted, after centuries of industrial expansion. Finding few resource-rich
worlds suitable for colonization, the Hierarchy turns to piracy; stealing the
cargos of alien ships to supply their own industry. |
2267 |
Captain
Kirk of the Starship USS Enterprise makes first Federation contact
with the Gorn Confederation. Despite initial miscommunications, a peace
treaty is soon signed between the two powers. The
entire Klingon warfleet is organised for a strike against the Federation core
worlds of Earth, Vulcan, and Andor. The Federation Starfleet masses to oppose
them, and several skirmishes are fought along the Klingon-Federation border.
The situation is eventually diffused by the powerful Organian race, who
impose a ceasefire on both sides. |
2268 |
In
response to increased Federation expansion, the Klingon and Romulan empires
sign a mutual defence alliance, and agree to an exchange of technology. A
small number of Tribbles are accidentally released into Klingon space, where
they breed rapidly, destroying several key agricultural worlds in their wake.
The Empire’s infrastructure takes years to recover from this disaster. Soon
after, several dozen Klingon ships are deployed to find the Tribble
homeworld. Once located, the Klingon crews conduct orbital bombardment,
destroying the dangerous species once and for all. |
2273 |
The
Yegani World Council is reformed as the Yegani Alliance, providing equal
representation for the Yegani off-world colonies, as well as the old nation
states of the Yegani homeworld. |
2293 |
Following
the breakdown of their alliance with the Romulan Empire, and the destruction
of several key production centres, the Klingon Empire finally agrees to
discuss the possibility of peace with the Federation. This peace treaty,
signed later that year at Khitomer, will eventually grow into a full military
alliance between the two powers. A
conspiracy of Federation admirals and Klingon officers attempts to disrupt
the Khitomer peace talks, but are averted at the last moment by Federation
security. Many believe the conspiracy was organised by the Romulan Tal’shiar,
though no direct link is ever established. A
Tosk escapes Tanski on a stolen shuttle, forcing the Hunters to pursue it
across space in order to capture it. Henceforth, all Tosk hunts are intended
to take place in space, and Tosk begin to be released across the quadrant to
increase the challenge of hunting them. |
2302 |
Romulan
forces raid the Federation outpost of Salem One, stealing a great many
classified technologies from Federation databases. |

be a peaceful race, the Cardassians soon show their true colours, as Cardassian
‘advisors’ are soon joined by military personnel. Within two decades, Bajor
will effectively be an occupied world. |
2311 |
Romulan
forces violate the Neutral Zone, destroying the Federation colony of Tomed
IV. Several thousand Federation personnel are killed. The Romulan government
later blames the incident on a ‘misunderstanding’. Federation
president Jonathon Whyte is able to force the Romulan Empire to the
negotiating table at the last moment, averting a devastating war between the
two powers. The negotiations end with the signing of the Treaty of Algernon,
restabilising and strengthening the Neutral Zone, and forcing the Romulans to
turn over all technologies captured during the Salem One incident. In return,
the Federation agrees to turn over all cloaking technology in their
possession to the Romulan Empire, and is banned from developing any future
cloaking technology. Following
this incident, the Romulan Empire enters a period of isolation. |
2315 |
The
Federation makes first contact with the Felisians. The Felisians are quick to
apply for membership in the Federation, both due to compatible ideology, and
for defensive purposes; the Felisians having recently learned the Tzenkethi
are rearming, and preparing for another attempt to invade Felisia. |
2319 |
The
Felisians are officially accepted as members of the United Federation of
Planets. |
2320 |
The
Tzenkethi begin an invasion of Felisian space. Though more than a match for the
Felisian navy, the Tzenkethi had not taken into account the presence of
Federation forces, assigned to the sector to help defend the Federation’s
newest member. This
incident would mark the first official contact between the Federation and the
Tzenkethi Union. |
2326-27 |
The
Tzenkethi Union makes a second attempt to annex the Felisian system, and is
once again repelled by Federation forces. |

Sela will become one of the highest-ranking officers in the Romulan fleet, in
spite of her human ancestry. |
2348 |
In
the Delta Quadrant, the Kazon begin a planet-wide revolt against their
oppressors, the Trabe. Led by Jal Sankur, the combined Kazon forces are able
to overthrow the Trabe government, capturing their homeworld, and seizing
much of their technology. Only a handful of Trabe escape the rebellion. Soon
after, Kazon society, lacking the unifying threat of the Trabe, collapses
into civil war. The Kazon break up into more than a dozen factions, each
bitterly opposed to the others. The
Tzenkethi suffer a major defeat at the hands of the Federation, and is forced
to withdraw from Federation space, marking the end of the
Federation-Tzenkethi wars. |
2350 |
Jha’dur
and Korazon are born on the Sheliak homeworld. Jha’dur will one day become
Executor of the Sheliak fleets, while Korazon will become the head of the Sheliak
diplomatic corps. Korazon
is a direct descendant of the ancient Sheliak leader, Sharel, and thus
carries the Source Code genome in her DNA. Following
four successive defeats at the hands of the Federation, the Tzenkethi
Patriarch is overthrown by the Tzenkethi military. This marks the beginning
of an ongoing period of instability that will consume the Tzenkethi Union for
the next several decades. |
2351 |
The
Cardassian mining outpost Terok Nor is constructed in the Bajoran
system. Under the command of Gul Skrain Dukat, the outpost will stand as the
seat of power for the Cardassian occupation force until their withdrawal in
2369, when the station will fall under Bajoran control. |
2353 |

They determine it to be of Chodak origin – a race they believed dead. |
2357 |
The
Iconian fleet encounters the Vo’dal, deep in the void of interstellar space.
They destroy dozens of the Vo’dal’s world ships, killing billions. In
response, the Vo’dal begin exterminating the Iconian fleet. Eventually, they
are forced to withdraw back to the Milky Way. The
Ubari colonise a star system home to a non-sentient quadrupeds known as
Shandar. Over the next few decades, Shandar will be partially domesticated,
and will be used in battle to deliver explosive charges into enemy
formations. |
2360 |
The
Tzenkethi kingdom of Ahotar is able to seize control of the Tzenkethi
homeworld and several other key worlds. The Ahotar King declares himself
supreme ruler of all Tzenkethi, and attempts to institute a theocratic state.
He is overthrown later that year by the Kingdom of Gnaog, who later seize
power themselves, forming the Tzenkethi Republic, a hideously unstable
alliance of the most powerful Tzenkethi worlds. The
Malon develop Spatial Charges, a powerful anti-matter based torpedo type
weapon, that is soon adopted by the Malon navy. |
2361 |
Kral
is born on the Breen homeworld. One of Thot Pran’s most loyal officers, by
the end of the century he will have attained the position of senior military advisor
to the Chamber of Thots. Hagi
is born on the Tzenkethi homeworld. Born to a family of military officers,
Hagi will eventually become supreme commander of the Tzenkethi military. |
2363 |
The
Felisian government finally establishes peaceful relations with the Tzenkethi
species. In an attempt to resolve their millennia long conflict, the
Felisians suggest a full scale alliance between the two races, followed by
the Tzenkethi’s entry into the Federation. Initial talks seem promising, but
fail after less than four years. |

Betazoid, Tam Ulbrun volunteers to join with the Gomtuu entity to serve as
its new crew. The two leave Federation space soon after. |
2367 |
Thirty-nine
Federation ships are destroyed by a Borg vessel at Wolf 359. The Borg vessel
is eventually defeated by the crew of the Federation ship Enterprise. A
charismatic Tzenkethi leader, Ja’mosh, seizes power and overthrows the
Tzenkethi Republic. As a result, Tzenkethi space is consumed by bloody civil
war for the next eight years. Commander
Ransom of the Federation starship USS Matherford makes first contact with
a member of the Yridian race in the Yaburon system, finally ending
speculation that the species was extinct. |
2368 |
The
Gomtuu entity and Tam Ulbrun encounters another of Gomtuu’s kind, named Moutuu.
The two living ships travel together for some time, before eventually parting
company. After
leaving Gomtuu, Moutuu grows curious about the species it described, and opts
to travel to the Beta Quadrant to meet them for itself. |
2369 |
The
Cardassian Union withdraws from several outlying systems, including Bajor.
Much of their infrastructure is abandoned, including the space station Terok
Nor. A
Tosk prey enters the wormhole, arriving at Deep Space Nine, pursued by
a team of Hunters. The Federation frowns on the use of sentient beings as
prey, and soon after, the Hunters agree to consider the Alpha Quadrant
off-limits for hunts. The
Dominion finally conquers the last worlds of the T-Roggorian Imperium, ending
their threat. Most of the Dominion fleet is deployed to the T-Roggorian
systems over the next few years, to ensure their full integration into the
Dominion. |
2370 |
A
new treaty is signed between the Federation and the Cardassian Union, ceding
several disputed systems to the Cardassians. Many
of the Federation colonists of the disputed sectors refuse to abandon their
homes, instead forming a resistance movement known as ‘The Maquis’, which
conducts several terrorist attacks against Cardassian settlements in the
region. Federation
representatives attempt to mediate peace talks between the Parada Unity and
the Elite rebels. Despite their best efforts, the Federation is unable to
mediate a peaceful solution, and is forced to eventually abandon the talks. The
Tzenkethi Republic faction, while still battling the forces loyal to Ja’mosh,
resumes talks with the Felisians, hoping to thus gain legitimacy in the eyes
of the Federation. |
2371 |
The
Federation scout ship USS Voyager, under the command of Captain
Kathryn Janeway, is transported 70,000 light years by a being known as the Caretaker,
along with a Maquis vessel. The
Dominion and the Parada government agree to a mutual defence pact. Soon
after, the Federation is forced to abandon all relations with Parada. G’Tok,
son of G’Sten is born on the Klingon homeworld. |
2372 |
An
uprising on the Cardassian homeworld results in the overthrow of the
Cardassian central command, and a new civilian government gaining power. The
Vidiian Sodality encounter the alien vessel known as the ‘Think Tank’, who
succeed in creating a cure for the Phage retrovirus, in exchange for a
payment of a handful of trinkets and minor works of art. The
Borg Collective makes contact with the alternate dimension known as ‘fluidic
space’, inhabited only by a race designated ‘Species 8472’. The Borg attempts
to assimilate the aliens, but is unsuccessful. In response, 8472 forces
pursue the Borg back to their own space, and begin an attempt to purge this
galaxy of them. The
Federation starship Voyager is briefly captured by forces from the
Kazon-Nistrum sect, under the command of Maje Jal Culluh. The Federation crew
soon take back the ship, with help from Talaxian fighter squadrons, but not
before the Kazon-Nistrum are able to acquire several valuable samples of
Federation technology. Jal
Salklah, the half-Cardassian son of Maje Culluh, is born onboard Voyager. |
Early
2373 |
The
Kazon-Nistrum, humiliated by their defeat at the hands of the Voyager
crew, and greatly weakened, leave Kazon space. Their location remains unknown
for the next two decades. Federation
forces expose the Dominion Founder posing as General Martok. The conflict
between the Klingon Empire and the Federation comes to an end. |
Mid
2373 |
The
Dominion attempts to use trilithium explosives to destroy the Bajoran sun. Gul
Dukat of Cardassia completes negotiations with the Dominion. The Cardassian
Union joins the Dominion. Soon after, Dominion forces destroy the Klingon
forces still within Cardassian space, and eradicate the Maquis terrorist
group. The
Voth scientist, Professor Gegin, encounters the Federation starship USS
Voyager in the Delta Quadrant. Prof. Gegin is a follower of the distant
origin theory, which states that the Voth originally evolved on a far distant
planet before arriving in the Delta Quadrant. This places him in conflict
with the Voth government and accepted Voth Doctrine, which state that the
Voth were the first sentient species to evolve in the Delta Quadrant, giving
them a claim to the entire region. Following
studies of humans, both he and Voyager’s medical officer confirm that
Voth and humans have a common ancestor, and that Voth evolved on Earth. The
Voth government refuses to accept his evidence, and he is finally forced to
retract his claims, to ensure the continued stability of Voth society. |
Late
2373 |
The
Federation begins mining the Bajoran wormhole, to prevent further Dominion
forces from entering the Alpha Quadrant. In response, the Dominion declares
war against the Federation and the Klingon Empire. The
Tzenkethi deploy a sizable fleet to defend the Felisian system from Dominion
attacks, in a surprising show of solidarity with both the Federation, and
their historical enemies, the Felisians. Taking
advantage of the reduced Dominion presence in the Gamma Quadrant, the Parada
begin expanding into various unclaimed sectors bordering Dominion space. The
Federation starship USS Voyager, trapped in the Delta Quadrant, enters
Borg space, and become embroiled in the ongoing war between the Collective
and Species 8472. Voyager’s crew are able to develop a modified Borg
nanoprobe, capable of destroying 8472 individuals and warships. They exchange
the technology with the Collective in exchange for free passage through
Collective space. The
Borg drone Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct to Unimatrix Zero-One, is severed
from the Collective, and captured by Voyager. Eventually developing
individuality, Seven will eventually join the Federation’s Starfleet,
attaining the rank of Captain. |
January,
2374 |
Despite
heavy casualties, the Federation recaptures Deep Space Nine. Dominion
forces retreat to Cardassian space. Gul
Madred is appointed as head of the Obsidian Order on Cardassia. |
February,
2374 |
In
a surprisingly bloodless coup, Klingon Chancellor Gowron is overthrown, and
replaced with a political outsider, Chad. |
March,
2374 |
The
Sheliak senior council appoints Diplomat First Class Korazon to serve as
Executor Theilen’s aide. Unknown to the Executor, her mission is also to
determine if Theilen is acting against Sheliak doctrine in regards to his
dealings with aliens. The
NDC offers to assist the Tholian Assembly, dispatching a small fleet to help
defend Tholis. |
April,
2374 |
Sheliak
forces begin researching the Purity Bio-weapon. The
Star Empire permits the Federation to deploy limited numbers of craft in the
Neutral Zone, as part of their alliance. Korazon
submits her first report to the Sheliak Senior Council, informing them that
she has found no signs of inappropriate behaviour on the part of Executor
Theilen. |
May,
2374 |
The
Ferengi Alliance purchases a small fleet of Federation starships to help
strengthen their forces. |
June,
2374 |
The
Acquisition Class starbase Unity Four is constructed in Ferenginar
orbit, and assigned as the headquarters for the NDC alliance. |
July,
2374 |
The
Cardassian Union, following continued losses to Federation forces, and the fall
of several outlying colonies, combined with a lack of Dominion support,
withdraws from the Dominion. Cardassia
joins the NDC. Ambassador
Kazago, Ferengi representative to the Unity Four space station, is
replaced by a Dominion Founder. He will not be exposed for many decades. |
August,
2374 |
The
war between the Federation allies and the Dominion enters a stalemate. |
September,
2374 |
The
Dominion fleet receives major reinforcements, as thousands of Gamma Quadrant
forces break through the Federation blockade of the Bajoran sector, entering
the Alpha Quadrant. Hirogen
hunters briefly seize the Federation starship Voyager, forcing its
crew to engage in simulated hunts in the ship’s holodecks. The crew are
eventually able to regain control of the vessel, and the Hirogen agree to
withdraw, in exchange for samples of holodeck technology. |
October,
2374 |
Dominion
forces win a major engagement against the Federation fleet, destroying
several Federation starbases, and much of the Klingon fleet. Hirogen
hunters transmit the holographic data acquired from Voyager across the
quadrant, using the Hirogen’s communications array. The development of
holographic prey will mark the first step in reclaiming Hirogen civilization,
and ending the nomadic traditions of the hunters that had endured for the
previous hundreds of years. |
November,
2374 |
The
NDC and the Federation almost come to blows, however war is averted at the
last minute when the Federation leadership agrees to share control of the
conquered systems with Cardassia. |
December,
2374 |
The
Sheliak Senior Council deploys their enhanced telepaths, designated “The
Watch”. Many of Theilen’s supporters on Shelia Prime are purged, and all
off-worlders are imprisoned and later executed. |
January,
2375 |
The
NDC dispatches a small strike team to Shelia Prime to determine the extent of
the Watch threat, consisting of Sheliak Ambassador Korazon, the Cardassian Garak,
Thot Vahar, and Leck, a Ferengi. Upon landing, they discover that the entire
planet is now under the control of the Watch telepaths. The team barely
escapes Shelia alive. |
February,
2375 |
A
series of temporal rifts open throughout the Alpha Quadrant. A single vessel
emerges from each one, one from each major power, dispatched back in time
from the year 2405. Each
vessel is unmanned, save for the Federation craft, USS Eclipse, which
carries one crewmember – Ezri Dax, the host of the Dax trill symbiont in that
timeline. (See Appendix A for
further details on this timeline) The
Ferengi gain Jem’hadar and Vorta cloning technology from their future
warship, and begin breeding small numbers of the creatures. |
March,
2375 |
Each
of the Alpha Quadrant races begins studying their new warships in an attempt
to unlock their technologies. |
June,
2375 |
Executor
Theilen, on board the Sheliak’s future warship SCS Executor, enters
Sheliak space, accompanied by Captain Jha’dur. Using the Executor’s advanced
technologies, he is able to disable most of the Sheliak fleet, and capture a
Watch telepath. |
July,
2375 |
Theilen
and Jha’dur are captured by Watch agents on Shelia Prime, and are brought
before Ver’mal, leader of the Watch, and the most powerful telepath known to
have ever existed. |
August,
2375 |
With
the death of Ver’mal, many of his followers are also destroyed. Those few
that survived are easily overcome. A new Senior Council is appointed on
Shelia Prime, and the task of rebuilding begins. The
Federation begins deploying sizable amounts of craft inside the Romulan
Neutral Zone, causing many in the Romulan Senate to become concerned about
this possible threat to their sovereignty. A
Federation Nova class science ship crosses the border into Romulan territory.
Seeing this as an outright invasion, a Romulan cruiser destroys the craft.
Relations between the Star Empire and the Federation sour. |
November,
2375 |
The
first Borg forces arrive in the Alpha Quadrant. Their first strike is against
a Klingon colony. They are defeated, but the Klingons take heavy losses. Among
the vessels lost is the K’t’inga class IKC Bog’h. Believed destroyed,
it is actually sucked into a Borg transwarp conduit, and crash-lands on a
deserted world, several parsecs outside Klingon territory. Later
that month, Borg attack targets in Breen space, causing heavy causalities, as
well as launching a devastating assault against Cardassia Prime, almost
destroying the Cardassian capital. In
response to the Borg threat, the Romulan government agrees to abandon the
Treaty of Algernon, permitting free passage through the Neutral Zone, and
allowing the Federation to equip its Sentinel class warships with cloaking
devises. |
January,
2376 |
Borg
forces assimilate the Sheliak colony of Kelrabi. A combined Sheliak, Breen
and Romulan fleet are able to drive them off, but the colony is completely
destroyed. |
March,
2376 |
Ferengi
scouts discover a space-dwelling life form near the edge of their space, soon
identified as being the same type of creature as encountered by the
Federation near the Beta Strongmen system, several decades prior. The
creature, known as ‘Moutuu’, chooses a Sheliak telepath to serve as its crew,
and allies with the Sheliak Corporate. The
crew of the USS Voyager inadvertently wake the surviving members of
the Vaadwaur Republic from stasis. Upon their awakening, the Vaadwaur
immediately begin reactivating their military equipment, and engage a force
of Turei vessels. After taking losses, the Vaadwaur fleet abandon their
homeworld, hoping to restablish their empire from a safer location. |
April,
2376 |
The
USS Voyager returns from the Delta Quadrant, via a Borg transwarp
conduit. Captain Janeway’s knowledge of Borg technology and tactics prove
invaluable in the Borg war. The
Turei begin contacting their former allies in an attempt to form a new
coalition against the threat of a revived Vaadwaur Republic. |
June,
2376 |
The
Borg assimilate the Bajoran homeworld. Only a handful of Bajorans escape. Deep
Space Nine is destroyed in the battle. Sheliak
survey teams uncover an Iconian base deep beneath the surface of Shelia
Prime. With the assistance of Dominion and Federation science teams, they are
able to reactivate the base’s Gateway. Thot
Zar cuts all communication between Breen and the rest of the galaxy. Borg
forces attack Ferengi space, destroying several warships, and assimilating
Grand Nagus Zek. Commissioner Gromph, head of the FCA, is appointed Grand
Nagus soon after. Chancellor
Chad, of the Klingon Empire, takes offence at a comment made by newly
appointed Grand Nagus Gromph regarding the Klingon Empire. He orders the
entire Klingon fleet deployed for an all out assault on Ferenginar. Though
the fleet causes great amounts of damage – including the destruction of the Unity
Four starbase – in the end, the Klingon fleet is utterly destroyed by the
Ferengi forces. |
July,
2376 |
Thot Pran is
briefly transported several months into the future, where he is warned that
Thot Zar is plotting against him. Forewarned, Pran goes into hiding, waiting
to make his move. Various
rifts in space time open throughout the quadrant, and several dozen warships from
the year 2385. Among these vessels is a flight of Sheliak warships, commanded
by the Captain Jha’dur of that timeframe. |
August,
2376 |
Thot
Zar’s Breen regime sends an emissary to Earth, claiming to be opening
official diplomatic relations with the Federation. However, their emissary is
in fact, carrying a lethal bioagent, a modification of the Sheliak Purity
bioweapon, intended to destroy all life on Earth. Prime
L’mor of Iconia meets with Executor Theilen. L’mor claims that the Sheliak
were once allies of the Iconian Empire, and that the Milky Way galaxy is
threatened by an immensely powerful and malevolent race dwelling beyond the
galactic rim – the Vo’dal. L’mor offers to share much of their technology
with the Sheliak, in exchange for Corporate assistance in eliminating the
extragalactic threat. After
investigations show L’mor’s claims of a Sheliak-Iconian alliance to be
accurate, Theilen agrees to aid the Iconians in defeating this new threat. Unknown
to the Sheliak, L’mor and the Iconians plan to use the Sheliak as decoys, to
distract the Vo’dal forces, allowing the Iconian fleet to pass through their
space unharmed, in order to reach the Andromeda Spiral and annihilate the
Chodak. |
September,
2376 |
The
Borg begin a full scale assault on the Alpha Quadrant, revealing their
previous attacks to be mere diversions and scouting missions. Launching
simultaneous attacks on Earth and Betazed, the Borg cause massive casualties.
However, at the last moment they are forced to withdraw, due to an unexpected
attack on their homeworld by Species 8472 forces. Among
the casualties of the Borg assault are the entire population of the Felisian
homeworld, assimilated by a Borg armada. Less than a thousand Felisians
escaped the destruction of their world. |
November,
2376 |
The
Dominion deploys virtually their entire Alpha Quadrant fleet to the Bajoran
system, distracting the Borg forces long enough for a temporal warhead to be
deployed in the system. It is successfully detonated, destroying more than a
third of the Borg forces. Unfortunately, several thousand Dominion vessels
were lost in the assault. A
combined fleet, led by Admiral Dax, and consisting of vessels from all major
powers save the Sheliak and the Klingons, follows up the Dominion attack in a
multi-pronged assault that destroys the last remaining Borg forces in the
Alpha Quadrant. Among
the vessels lost in the battle was the Cardassian flagship, CUS Toran.
Believed destroyed, the vessel in fact travelled forward in time in an
attempt to escape the battle. It emerged in late 2410, and crashed, out of
control, on a planet in the Bajoran system. |
2377 |
The
Sheliak abandon all their colonies, and leave the Milky Way galaxy with the
Iconians. Their worlds remain defended by automated sentry drones, preventing
any other race from claiming their territories. Before leaving, Executor Theilen
orders the destruction of Shelia Prime, to ensure the Iconian technology
present there does not fall into the wrong hands. Unknown
to Theilen, the solar flare used to destroy the planet is not sufficient to
destroy the Sheliak Gateway, which remains intact, though offline. The
Moutuu entity does not join the Sheliak fleet in their exodus, and remains
behind in the Alpha Quadrant. Its current whereabouts remain unknown. The
Cardassian Union, greatly damaged by the Borg war, begins the long task of
rebuilding. The
last Dominion forces in the Alpha Quadrant withdraw back to the Gamma
Quadrant. Joining them is the Founder Odo, who rejoins the Great Link, and
attempts to convince the other Founders to respect the other races of the
galaxy, rather than conquering or destroying them. The
Klingon Empire enters into a period of civil war, as various factions seek to
overthrow Chancellor Chad, following the hideous defeats the Empire had
suffered under his rule. Pirate
and raider forces begin establishing bases within the remains of Bajoran
space. The
Hirogen begin experimenting with holographic technology acquired from the
Federation ship Voyager. Efforts to create more cunning holographic
prey fail rather spectacularly, when a small number of the new holoprograms
escape the Hirogen, killing several dozen hunters in the process. The final
fate of the rogue holograms remains unknown. A
small religious sect known as the Kah’ May establish a monastery in the ruins
of Bajor. |
2378 |
Following
the defeat of the last of the Borg forces still within Breen space, Thot Pran
emerges from hiding to overthrow Thot Zar’s dictatorship. While most of the Breen
navy is loyal to Pran, a sizable contingency continued to support Zar. After
ten months of bloody civil war, Zar was finally defeated and executed, his
body being publicly displayed on a balcony in the Chamber of Thots. Thot Pran
resumed his position as Supreme Thot. Elim
Garak, a former member of the Obsidian Order, gains significant political
influence on Cardassia. Organising the reconstruction efforts, he is able to
convince the Federation and Ferengi to donate significant amounts of
resources to help in the rebuilding of Cardassia Prime, and establishes the
Cardassian Central Forum – the first democratic Cardassian government in more
than four hundred years. General
Meduk defeats Klingon Chancellor Chad at the Battle of Krios, and slays the
Klingon leader in single combat. Soon after, he appoints General Martok as
Chancellor, with the full support of the rest of the High Council. Soon
after, General Meduk is killed in an extremely suspicious accident. The
Dominion and the Federation sign the Betazed Accords, outlawing the use of
temporal warheads, and greatly limiting the use of Chronotron Torpedoes. In
addition, the Dominion turn the New Bajor colony over to the Federation,
giving them an outpost in the Gamma Quadrant. |
2379 |
After
two years of negotiations, the Gorn Confederation agrees to participate in a
full military alliance with the Tholian Assembly. |
2381 |
Expansionistic
elements within the Romulan government take advantage of the weakness of the
Klingon military, and annex several Klingon colonies bordering Romulan space.
The Federation files protests against the Romulan government, but is ignored. Chancellor
Martok is killed in combat against Romulan forces. He is succeeded by
Chadwick, believed to be a distant relative of the deposed Chancellor Chad. A
small Iconian fleet seizes two worlds on the edge of Tholian space. The
Tholian fleet assembles an armada to eliminate the Iconian presence, but is
unable to permanently dislodge them. Advisor
Colak infects Parada Afra O’glang with a rare respiratory virus, during the
commissioning ceremony for the first Parada Der’aph battleship. Colak hopes
to eliminate the Afra and take his place. The
Dominion, under the leadership of Odo, enters a brief era of peace and
tolerance. Several conquered worlds are granted autonomy or independence,
including Trenix, home of the T-Roggorian species. Free
Trenix enters a period of isolation, as the administrator caste struggles to
rebuild the worlds infrastructure, and recover from the Dominion occupation. Few
outside the Dominion are aware of Trenix’s independence. |
2382 |
The
Federation, Romulan, Breen, Cardassian, Tholian, Klingon, Gorn and Ferengi
governments sign the Anti-Planetary Bombardment Treaty, outlawing the use of
Planetary Bombardment against inhabited planets. The
Gorn-Tholian Alliance captures several worlds from the Klingon Empire. The
Empire is forced to surrender the worlds, lacking the resources to retake
them. |
2383 |
A
Tzenkethi exploratory fleet encounters a massive space-dwelling life form in
the Tetral sector. The creature, known as a ‘Tetral Behemoth’ is sighted only
briefly before it disappears. The
first Yegani warp drive is tested. Exploration of the nearby star systems
soon follows. |
2384 |
Afra
O’glang dies of a respiratory disease on the Parada homeworld. He is replaced
by Afra Aldak. Advisor
Colak is extremely displeased that he was passed over for the position of
Afra, and begins plotting to eliminate Aldak as well. |
2385 |
Cardassia
and the Federation form a defensive alliance. |
2387 |
In
response to increased tensions between the Federation and the Star Empire,
the Romulan Empire reinstates the treaty of Algernon, recreating the Neutral
Zone, and demanding the Federation destroy all cloaking technology in their
possession. In exchange for these concessions, the Romulan government agrees
to withdraw from several Klingon colonies captured six years prior. Founder
Odo agrees to a trade route between Ferenginar and the Dominion in exchange
for the return of the Ferengi Jem’hadar technology, and proposes a mutual
defence pact with the Federation. Many in the Great Link refuse to accept
these unwanted alliances with solids, and cast out Odo and the Founders still
loyal to him. Sheliak
forces enter Vo’dal territory, and begin a bloody ten year long war against
them, believing them to be planning an invasion of the Alpha Quadrant.
Billions of Sheliak die in this conflict, as do millions of Vo’dal warriors. On
the Trenix, the T-Roggorians succeed in constructing their first orbital
starbase and shipyard since the Dominion occupation. The
Hierarchy surveys several mineral rich systems on the edge of their
territory, and immediately stakes a claim to them, before colonising several. |
2389 |
Lord
D’Kanzak, Praetor of the Romulan Empire, dies of natural causes. In an
unusual move, backed by a majority of the senate, the position passes to
Letant, rather than to a member of D’Kanzak’s family. A
Tosk Hunter scoutship briefly encounters a T-Roggorian colony ship, but fails
to establish contact. The
Malon Republic begins dumping Theta Radiation waste in the Aburas system,
unaware of the presence of a small Hirogen hunting party within the area. The
Hirogen die an agonising death, as the Theta Radiation affects them. |
2390 |
The
first true warships are constructed by the Hunters, who, hearing rumours of
the Dominion, realise they may eventually encounter hostile races, and
wishing to ensure Hunters are not endangered when pursuing Tosk across space. The
Malon begin a new wave of expansion, colonising several systems. Yegani
exploration craft Renewal makes contact with the Krinis species. The
xenophobic Krinis execute the Yegani emissaries as soon as they land on the
surface of Krinis Beta, and steal their ship. |
2392 |
Elim
Garak, ruler of the Cardassian Union, disappears under mysterious
circumstances. Minister Derak, a former member of the Cardassian military,
replaces him. Following
the loss of three expeditions into Sheliak space, all races agree to avoid
that region. The
Kazon-Nistrum navy, now under the command of the half-Cardassian Jal Salklah,
and equipped with crude replicas of Federation shields and phasers, return
from their self-imposed exile. Equipped with weapons now decades in advance
of anything the other Kazon sects possess, the Kazon-Nistrum begin a campaign
to forcibly unite the Kazon people under a single banner. Devore
Senior Inspector Kashyk is appointed Chairman of the Devore Imperium. Krinis
warships destroy dozens of Yegani exploratory ships, as the Hegemony begins
its war against the Yegani alliance. The Yegani are caught completely
off-guard, unprepared for contact with a hostile alien race. |
2393 |
In
the Krenim Imperium, work on design of the Paradox class Battleship and Raxan
class Scout begins. The first ships of these classes will be launched in
2408, and the classes will become a key element in Krenim fleets over the
next decade. |
2394 |
Dr.
Julian Bashir is approached by Section 31, who persuade him to join. Within a
decade, he will have become the highest-ranking Section 31 officer in the
Federation, and head of Starfleet Intelligence. |
2396 |
The
Ubari recover an Eldarian space probe, and are able to decipher its
databanks, thus learning of the existence of both the Eldarian race, and of
the other major powers of the Gamma Quadrant. The
entire Krinis fleet attempts an invasion of the Yegani home system, but are
forced back by Yegani forces. Both sides take heavy casualties, and the war
reaches a stalemate. |
2397 |
Admiral
Jha’dur, Fleet Captain Jha’dur’s duplicate from an alternate timeline (See
Appendix B) steals an Iconian Eradicator class battle
cruiser from the Kali shipyards, and accesses its databases. Learning the
truth of the Iconian’s treachery and lies, she distributes the information
among the Sheliak fleet. During a brief but bloody battle, the Sheliak flagship, SCS Cleansing Flame is lost with all hands, including Executor Theilen. Also destroyed is the Iconian Prime L’mor’s command ship, destroyed when Admiral Jha’dur sacrifices her life to take out the craft by ramming it with her own. With the death of Prime L’mor, the Iconian forces are thrown into chaos, and the Sheliak fleet escapes. The
Iconians still present in the Alpha Quadrant withdraw from Tholian Space, and
meet up with the rest of the Iconian fleet, outside the galaxy. Fleet
Captain Jha’dur is appointed Executor of the Sheliak fleet, and orders the
Sheliak return to Shelia Prime. The
Founder Odo, after almost ten years of wandering, establishes the New Order
Dominion, convincing many Dominion worlds to follow him. He hopes that the
New Order will be able to expand peacefully, and enjoy peaceful coexistence
with the other races of the quadrant, rather than seeking to subjugate them.
Demonstrating his sincerity, he grants several conquered worlds self
determination, including the former worlds of the T-Roggorian Confederate. Minister
Derak of Cardassia dies of a rare respiratory illness. Petromal Vil is
elected First Minister of the Cardassian Central Forum. The
Malon colonize the uninhabited world of Uros III. Unknown to the Malon, the
Hierarchy had claimed the system ten years prior, and considered it part of
their space. A
Borg scoutship enters Hierarchy space, destroying or assimilating
twenty-seven Hierarchy warships in its journey. The Hierarchy redeploys their
fleet to eliminate this threat; unfortunately, this required recalling the
ships assigned to hold Uros III. The
Malon are quick to respond to the Hierarchy’s withdrawal, dispatching their
forces to retake Uros system. The colony falls easily to the Malon assault.
The Hierarchy officially declares war against the Corporate Republic. |
2398 |
The
Iconian fleet begins an increasingly erratic campaign to cross Vo’dal space,
following the loss of their Sheliak allies. Without effective leadership, and
outnumbered and outgunned, the Iconian fleet is almost completely destroyed
over the next few years. The
remnants of the Vaadwaur fleet arrive at the old Republic colony of Xalox IV,
a world now abandoned almost nine hundred years. Renaming it ‘New Vayda’, the
colony is soon transformed into the capital of the Restored Vaadwaur
Republic. The
Malon-Hierarchy war continues to drag on, with thousands dying in small
skirmishes all along the border. While the Malon are clearly superior on the
ground, they are unable to compete with the superior Hierarchy navy;
resulting in a virtual stalemate for many years. |
2401 |
The
Krenim Imperium conquers the Zahl homeworld, marking the beginning of a new
era of expansion for the Krenim people. After
almost eight centuries of research, the Voth Planetary Shield Generator is
finally completed. Hierarchy
forces raid a vessel belonging to an advanced nation known as the Dakazi
Regime, and capture several advanced weapons technologies. |
2402 |
The
Yegani Hegemony begins designing their Vensoso flagship. |
2403 |
The
Breen perfect artificial wormhole technology, opening a stable passage to the
distant Andromeda galaxy. Unfortunately, they are never quite able to
duplicate their success. Scouting
parties are sent into the Andromeda Galaxy, where the Breen make contact with
the Likarion. The
Hierarchy Commerce Spaceport is constructed, opening the Hierarchy up to
foreign trade. |
2404 |
The
Ubari Supremacy exterminates a prewarp civilization in the Gamma Quadrant.
This would be the 642nd race to be destroyed by the Ubari. The
Vaadwaur Republic constructs a satellite warning system around their capital,
based on the satellites that once defended the Vaadwaur homeworld during the
time of the First Republic. |
2405 |
Ferengi
Grand Nagus Gromph is infected with a lethal bioagent, designed to slowly
destroy his body, and programmed to affect him only. The disease is not
detected for more than a year, and it will be even longer before the
perpetrator is identified – the Founder posing as Kazago. Several
advanced Breen CRM-114 armour piercing rifles disappear from Breen research
labs. It is suspected they were stolen by Orion agents. |
Mid
2406 |
Several
Iconian vessels are captured by the Vo’dal. The Vo’dal gain access to Iconian
Gateway technology, and begin constructing a station to enable their vessels
to be transported beyond the Galactic Barrier. The
Iconian leadership orders an immediate withdrawal from Vo’dal territory. Thousands
of Hirogen hunters settle on Hiroga, their homeworld, abandoned centuries
ago. With the construction of holographic arenas on the former Hirogen
capital, many hunters see little need to wander the galaxy in search of prey. |

The
Sheliak fleet crosses the Galactic Barrier, and returns to their homeworld,
to rebuild, reconstruct, and resettle. Federation,
Ferengi and Romulan monitoring stations detect the activity within Sheliak
space, and dispatch vessels to investigate. Tensions
between the Parada Unity and the Federation continue to grow, as the Parada
demand the withdrawal of all Federation forces from the Gamma Quadrant, and
the surrender of the New Bajor colony. In
response, the Likarion demand the Breen immediately withdraw from the
Andromeda Galaxy. The
Romulan Tal’shiar secretly opens communications with the Parada to discuss a
possible alliance against the Federation. The
Federation and the Dominion New Order sign a mutual defence pact, pledging to
support each other in the defence of the Bajoran wormhole, and in the defence
of Federation holdings in the Gamma Quadrant. In addition, the Dominion
agrees to allow the Federation to equip more of its vessels with Chronotron
torpedoes. |

A
slightly-over enthusiastic Sheliak captain destroys the USS Alamo in
the Hel’s Gate Nebula. The Alamo had been assigned to investigate
rumours of possible activity inside Corporate space. The
Likarion vessel enters Romulan space, and is attacked by Romulan forces. It
is forced to make an emergency landing on an uninhabited world to escape
pursuit and make repairs. The
Likaron and the Chodak agree to a military alliance to contain Breen
expansion. Breen,
Ferengi, Romulan and Federation vessels enter Sheliak space to investigate
reports of an Iconian presence in the region. The
Breen government agrees to peace talks with the Likarions, diffusing the
increasing tensions between the two governments. The
Romulan Empire begins work on the first Fal’conar class spy ships. |

The
outlying T’znkethi kingdoms of Ahotar and Gnaog rebel against Patriarch
Ja’mosh’s leadership, forming the Black Star resistance. Ja’mosh refuses
their demands, sparking off additional unrest within the T’znkethi Empire. Queen
Que’la issues an official protest against the Gnaog rebellion. Romulan forces
capture the surviving crew of the Likarion vessel that entered their space.
The Likarion crew self destruct to prevent capture, but one is too badly
damaged to initiate its destruction. The
Romulan Empire learns of the Likarion species, and the Breen wormhole. Sheliak
Emissary Korazon meets with Ferengi, Breen, Federation and Romulan
representatives in the Alpha Crux system, informing them of the Sheliak’s
return to the Alpha Quadrant, and demands that the Ferengi withdraw from
several systems historically claimed by the Corporate. The Ferengi, unwilling
to risk a conflict with the Sheliak navy, agree. |
March,
2407 |
The
Sheliak find their Iconian Gateway drifting in the remains of the Sheliak
homeworld, and reactivate it. The
Parada, backed by the Romulan Empire, demand the Federation withdraw
permanently from the Gamma Quadrant. Several
peaceful protests are held on the Federation world of Mizar, as the natives
criticise what they feel to be an overly militaristic policy by the
Federation regarding the ongoing tensions with the Romulan Empire and the
Parada Unity. T’znketh
forces loyal to Patriarch Ja’mosh destroy the Black Star Rebel forces at
Gnaog. General Hagi orders the extermination of all Tzenkethi on Gnaog as a
warning to other colonies that might be tempted to rebel. Sheliak
forces land on Mizar, utilising their Gateway to transport troops. They
announce that they are there only to ensure the native Mizarians are not
forced into any course of action by the Federation against their will. The
Romulan Empire, the Dominion, and the Parada declare war on the Federation. |
April,
2407 |
The
Federation systems of Trill and Vulcan are conquered by Romulan forces.
Federation colonies in the Gamma Quadrant are destroyed by Parada forces.
Parada forces capture Admiral Jadzia Dax and Captain Ezri Dax. Tal’shiar
agents sabotage the power grid on Betazed, throwing the planet into chaos. A
Sheliak vessel is lost in sector 6726. It is later determined that the craft
had stumbled upon a derelict Iconian mothership. Odo’s
New Order faction decries the Romulan and Parada attacks on Federation
targets, and declares war against the Dominion, capturing several systems. The
Klingon Empire enters the war against the Romulan Empire. Klingon and
Federation forces engage the Romulan fleet on the edge of the Romulus system
itself. Both sides take heavy casualties, but in the end, the Federation
fleet is forced to withdraw. The
Federation and the Romulan Empire agree to a cease fire and peace talks, in
an attempt to resolve the war peacefully. Dominion
forces repel the New Order invasion of their systems. |
May,
2407 |
The
Sheliak, using advanced Iconian teraforming technology, rebuild their
homeworld of Shelia Prime. Cardassian
convoys near the edge of Union space are attacked by Orion pirates.
Cardassian warships destroy several pirate bases in response, but do little
real damage to the Orion’s strength. Julian
Bashir of Starfleet Intelligence retrieves Admiral and Captain Dax from
Parada space. The
Parada encounter a small Hunter colony, on the edge of their space, and begin
attempts to negotiate a trade route. |
June,
2407 |
The
Parada cancel their alliance with the Dominion, and launch an attack upon
several Dominion sectors, destroying much of the Dominion fleet. The
Dominion leadership attempts to forge a new alliance with the New Order, but
are rebuffed. Following
a series of security breaches in the Klingon empire, several members of the
Klingon High Council criticise Chancellor Chadwick’s policies. Amongst those
critical of his leadership is a young political outsider, G’Tok. |
July,
2407 |
Peace
negotiations between the Romulan Empire and the Federation continue to drag
on. On
occupied Vulcan, the Isolationist faction begins supporting the Romulan
Empire, claiming that their philosophies are far more compatible with Vulcan
traditions than those of the Federation. |

2407 |
Romulan
leaders meet with Likarion representatives on Dera’gor Minor, and turns over
several Likarion officers captured by the Empire. Parada
agents detonate a nuclear device on the Dominion capital of Dominus. Several
million citizens are killed. Sheliak
Executor Jha’dur meets with Chodak emissaries, and informs them of the
history of the Iconians after the Chodak left the Milky Way. |
September,

Negotiations
between the Romulans and the Federation break down. The cease fire collapses,
and Romulan forces attack several Federation fleets, inflicting heavy
casualties. Dominion
leaders contact the Sheliak, asking for their assistance in ending the
Dominion-Parada war. The Sheliak agree, and demand the Parada cease
hostilities. Grand
Nagus Gromph of Ferenginar dies, after a long period of illness. Before
dying, he appoints Nog, son of Rom, to be his successor. |
October,

Dominion
citizens on Gateway Nexus strike in protest of the ongoing war. In response,
the Founders order the extermination of all life on Gateway Nexus, before
ordering the execution of all rebelling citizens within Dominion space. The
Parada fleet eliminates the last of the Dominion space fleet. |

Elim
Garak returns to public life, after having spent more than a decade in hiding
for unknown reasons. First minister Petromal Vil immediately steps down as
minister, and yields authority to Garak, with the unanimous support of the
Central Forum. As
his first act, Minister Garak immediately pledges to support the Federation
in its war with the Romulan Empire. Patriarch
Ja’mosh is overthrown by Black Star Rebels, and killed in combat. Emperor
Terim seizes control of the T’znekthi Empire. Ja’mosh’s
family escape to safety, protected by a young shuttle pilot, coincidentally
also called Ja’mosh. Sheliak
forces, utilizing their Iconian Gateway, capture several Dominion worlds, as
the Dominion leadership continue to slaughter their own population in a grim
‘scorched earth’ policy. Parada
agents capture a Dominion temporal incursion warhead. The
Klingon Empire, aided by the new Tzenkethi regime, conquers several worlds on
the edge of Gorn space. Gorn
forces launch a counter attack, but suffer heavy losses in the attempt.
Chancellor Chadwick is believed killed in the battle. |
December,
2407 |
G’Tok,
backed by a coalition of powerful Klingon houses, appoints himself Chancellor
of the Klingon Empire. As one of his first actions, he calls for an end to
the war with the Gorn civilization. The
Gorn fleet, greatly weakened by Klingon attacks, has no choice but to accept
a cease fire, and to surrender the occupied planets. Much
of the Federation fleet is lost in a second attempt to destroy the Romulus
space defences. Romulan forces capture the outlying Federation colony of
Elza. Three
more Dominion worlds fall to the Parada advance. The Founders grow
increasingly desperate in their efforts to maintain control. The
decade long Malon-Hierarchy war begins to reach an end, with the Malon forces
finally being driven from Hierarchy space. In the battle of Uros III, the
bulk of the Malon fleet is routed by a smaller Hierarchy force. Before the
Hierarchy can offer a cease fire to their enemies, however, the Malon admiral
orders the use of Theta radiation bombs against Uros III, rendering the planet
permanently uninhabitable. Disgusted
at the atrocity, the Hierarchy continues the war. |
January,
2408 |
Admiral
Jean-Luc Picard of the Federation returns to public life, resuming his duties
within the Federation fleet. Executor
Jha’dur of Shelia travels to occupied Vulcan to monitor the Romulans
treatment of the civilian population. Praetor Letant also travels to Vulcan,
to meet with Federation Ambassador Spock to discuss the possibility of a
Vulcan-Romulan reunification. In
an unexpected show of intergalactic solidarity, a combined Cardassian,
Tholian, Tzenkethi and Breen force is formed to defend Federation space from
further Romulan attacks. Two
days before the Hierarchy fleet crosses the Malon border, the Malon Supreme
Malark, realising the Malon navy is now hopelessly outmatched, offers an
unconditional surrender to the Hierarchy. Ferengi
and Breen scientists complete work on Project Sekia, an attempt to duplicate
Borg transwarp technology. The project is extremely successful, allowing the
Breen and Ferengi to construct stable Transwarp hubs, allowing almost
instantaneous travel across the quadrant. Soon
after, various other races agree to have transwarp hubs constructed at their
homeworlds. By the end of the year, transwarp nodes will be in position at
Ferenginar, Breen, Shelia Prime, T’znketh and Cardassia, allowing transwarp
travel across half the quadrant. |
February,
2408 |
Parada
forces enter the Dominus system, launching a ground assault on the Dominion
capital. The
Founders release the Quickening bioweapon into the Dominus atmosphere,
killing all life on their capital in a final act of spite. A
handful of Founders are captured by Parada forces. The rest disappear,
eventually infiltrating the New Order faction of the Dominion. During
celebrations on the Parada Homeworld for the fall of the Dominion, Advisor
Colak infects Alda Aldak with a rare respiratory virus – the same method he
used to eliminate the last Parada Alda, O’glang. Romulan
forces withdraw from Trill and Elza, destroying much of the worlds
infrastructure during their retreat. Chancellor
G’Tok resumes the Gorn-Klingon conflict, ordering the invasion of the Gorn
system of Takor. |
March,
2408 |
The
Gorn Takor council agrees to surrender several worlds to the Klingon Empire. The
Federation and the Romulan Empire agree to a cease fire, following the
Romulan withdrawal from Trill and Elza. The fate of Vulcan is turned over to
its citizens, who are asked to vote on whether to leave the Federation or
remain with it. The
Romulan Neutral Zone is reinstated. A
Vidiian scoutship is assimilated by the Borg. The advanced medical technology
gained from the vessel and its crew prove vital in developing a weapon the
Collective can use to defeat Species 8472 and its biological technology. |
April,
2408 |
Bajoran
extremists within the Cardassian Union issue a series of bomb threats in an
attempt to gain independence from the Union. The
Treaty of Uros, officially ending the Malon-Hierarchy war, is signed. Under
the terms of the agreement, the Malon are required to pay reparations to the
Hierarchy, to compensate them for their losses in the war. In addition, the
Malon are barred from trading with Hierarchy merchants. Victorious, the last
Hierarchy forces withdraw from Malon space. |

A
stellar fragment is detected on a collision course with the Sheliak colony of
Gorash. A small Sheliak task force is able to intercept it, and capture it
for study. Sheliak
researchers determine that the stellar fragment is composed primarily of a
super-dense alloy dubbed ‘jhadurium’. Immensely strong, the alloy is soon
incorporated into Sheliak armour designs and hull plating. The
Tzenkethi pilot Ja’mosh begins a quest to find a way to avenge the death of
Patriarch Ja’mosh, and overthrow Emperor Terim. |
June,
2408 |
The
remnants of the Iconian fleet leave Vo’dal territory. Only a handful of their
ships still survive. The
Iconian leadership decide to rebuild their empire in the Alpha Quadrant
before pursuing the Chodak further. To ensure the races of the Milky Way are
weakened, the Iconians ensure certain files fall into the hands of the
Vo’dal, indicating that the Sheliak rebellion was a deception, and that the
Sheliak are preparing an invasion of Vo’dal space. Several
high ranking Federation and Romulan officials travel to Vulcan to speak
during the succession debates. |
July,
2408 |
The
Romulan Empire begins construction of a defensive station on Romulus’s moon,
Aidoann. Contaminated
Bloodwine on the Klingon colony of Honour starts a minor epidemic. The
Vulcans continue to debate the succession issue. A
Vo’dal fleet is deployed to enter the Milky Way and destroy the Sheliak, who
they believe to be massing a fleet against them. Even
at transwarp speeds, the Vo’dal fleet takes six months to reach the Galactic
Barrier. |
August,

Orion
pirates raid several outlying worlds on the edge of Federation space. A
Romulan embassy is established on Earth. Vulcan
votes to remain in the Federation. Final votes are three point five billion
in favour of succession, six point two billion opposed. Romulan
forces withdraw from the Vulcan system. |
October,
2408 |
Likarion
scientists observe a type two supernova in sector 5507 of the Andromeda
galaxy. The
Romulan lunar defence outpost on Aidoann goes online. Earthquakes
strike the Cardassian colony of Borad III. A
Sheliak embassy is established on the Tholian homeworld. |

The
Tzenkethi government withdraws from the Treaty of Randa, and refuses to
return Federation technology their vessels are equipped with. Tensions
between the Federation and the Tzenkethi grow. A
Tzenkethi citizen is injured in the T’znketh capital, when he collides with a
poorly placed lamppost. The Tzenkethi government is forced to pay him 50,000
Tak in damages, and is forced to reposition all lampposts to prevent further
injures, at a cost of 200,000 Tak. Unknown
to most people, the new lampposts are equipped with sensor arrays and
holographic recorders. As a result, the Tzenkethi are able to secretly
monitor any action on the streets of their cities. Tensions
between the Klingon Empire and the Gorn Confederation continue to grow. A
Tholian fleet moves to the Gorn homeworld to defend it from possible attacks;
The Cardassia Union sells the Klingons advanced weaponry and warships. The
increasingly erratic T’znekthi government announces an alliance with the
Gorn. The
Iconian fleet enters the Milky Way, and secretly reactivates several bases
throughout the galaxy. There, they wait for the Vo’dal and Sheliak forces to
decimate each other. |
December,
2408 |
The
Iconian warship Messenger of Death enters the Sheliak system, heavily damaged.
Its captain informs the Sheliak of the Vo’dal threat before dying of his
injuries. Executor
Jha’dur calls a council of war on the Sheliak homeworld to deal with the
Vo’dal threat. Ambassador
Korazon travels to Alexandria Station at Betazed, in an attempt to warn the
other races of the Vo’dal threat. Dec.
25: The first Vo’dal forces enter the Milky Way. |
January,
2409 |
Sheliak
forces withdraw from Mizar to deal with the Vo’dal threat. The
starship USS Magellan encounters Vo’dal forces on the edge of former
Bajoran space. Vo’dal forces forcibly access Federation tactical and
historical databases. An
Iconian Eradicator class vessel is destroyed by Vo’dal forces on the edge of
Breen space. Breen vessels intervene, destroying two Vo’dal scout cruisers,
but are unable to drive off the Vo’dal fleet. The
T’znkethi government agrees to an alliance with the Vo’dal, but secretly use
the agreement to gather information about the Vo’dal to sell to the Sheliak. |
February,
2409 |
Vo’dal
Hex Missiles attack Shelia Prime, destroying several vessels, and causing a
Sheliak Purity Assault Craft to collide with Shelia’s moon, Sa’z, rendering
the surface uninhabitable. The
Romulan Empire makes first contact with the Silosian civilization, a
primitive civilization on the verge of warp travel. The
Tholian Assembly agrees to aid the Vo’dal in their search for the remnants of
the Iconian fleet. A
Vo’dal agent onboard Alexandria station attempts to assassinate Ambassador
Korazon. She suffers massive injuries, and only barely survives the attack.
Likarion emissary Hei’k is also injured in the attack. The
Klingon Empire signs a non-aggression pact with the Vo’dal. Chancellor
G’Tok secretly meets with Vo’dal emissaries and agrees to a full scale alliance
with the extra-galactic beings. The
Vo’dal learn of the Tzenkethi’s treachery, and terminate their alliance. The entire
crew of a Tzenkethi warship is killed as a warning to their government. The
only survivor is General Hagi, who is seriously injured, and marooned in
Breen space. |
March,
2409 |
The
Parada war platform PNV Eriliax is launched. The
Dominion New Order and the Parada sign an alliance. The
Breen fleet decimates the Tzenkethi homeworld, destroying much of their home
defence fleet. The attack is made in apparent revenge for Tzenkethi sabotage
against the Breen homeworld. General
Popescu of the T’znkethi orders the execution of all the royal families,
blaming them for the Breen attack on Tzenkethi, and the previous political
decisions that led the Union to ruin. The only member of the royal houses
spared was Queen Que’la, a strong supporter of the T’znketh military. Emperor
Terim and his family escape the purge, and flee beyond Popescu’s reach. The
military takes direct control of the Tzenkethi government. The
Likarion government establishes an embassy inside Romulan space, in the city
of Val’danadex. An
Iconian Eradicator is destroyed by Vo’dal forces on the edge of Federation
space. Iconian
forces secretly establish a base beneath the surface of a Tholian colony.
This base serves as the centre of Iconian operations in the Alpha Quadrant |
April,
2409 |
First
Minister Garak of Cardassia signs an alliance with the Vo’dal, under
mysterious circumstances. Many
in the Union refuse to accept this alliance, and sever relations with
Cardassia in protest. An
Iconian leader, L’ant J’or, covertly contacts Ambassador Korazon, offering
the Corporate Iconian assistance in their war. In actual fact, his goal is to
subtly manipulate Sheliak actions, to ensure the Sheliak-Vo’dal war does the
most damage to each side possible. Admiral
Picard of Starfleet is infested by a Vo’dal parasite. |
May,
2409 |
The
Vo’dal begin upgrading Klingon vessels with their technology. A
combined Klingon-Cardassian force conquers the Tholian colony of Shertyra. In
response, the Tzenkethi, Gorn, and Tholian governments declare war upon the
Klingon Empire. Sheliak
forces liberate Shertyra from the Cardassian forces, and raid multiple
Klingon worlds, doing significant damage, and eventually forcing the Empire
to abandon the colonies. |
June,
2409 |
The
Bajoran colonies announce their withdrawal from the Cardassian Union, in
protest over Cardassian attacks on Tholian targets. The Cardassian resistance
against Elim Garak’s rule, led by Natima Lang, gains strength. The
Klingon fleet is forced to withdraw from Tholian space, though they do not
surrender Shyar. Ambassador
Korazon of the Sheliak Corporate signals L’ant J’or, informing him that the
Sheliak will agree to an alliance with the Iconian remnants. A
Klingon survey team finds the wrecked hulk of the K’t’inga class cruiser IKC
Bog’h on a deserted planet in sector 12388. Most of the crew is still
alive, and are returned to Qo’noS as heroes. One
of Ambassador Korazon’s bodyguards – Lt. Shenar - is infested with a Vo’dal
parasite onboard Alexandria Station. The
Cardassian assault fleet returns to Cardassian territory, abandoning their
holdings in Tholian space. The
Tholians and Klingon Empire agrees to a temporary cease fire. |
July,
2409 |
The
Federation declares war on the Tzenkethi Union, in apparent support of the
Klingon Empire. A small Breen fleet enters the Tzenkethi home system, to defend
it – and it’s valuable ComStar Node – from attack. The Federation is forced
to back down from its threats. Ar’ten
Elsar, the Parada’s representative to the Alexandria conference, is given
information by one of his officers, Gerax. The data appears to be conclusive
proof that the Sheliak initiated the Sheliak-Vo’dal war, in an unprovoked
attack upon a Vo’dal transport. Elsar is unaware that Gerax has been infested
by a Vo’dal parasite – as had the Sheliak officer Gerex claimed to have
received the information from. Minister
Garak disbands the Cardassian Central Forum. The
Parada Gerax is murdered by a Sheliak under Vo’dal control , in an attempt to
start a war between the Parada and the Sheliak. When that plan fails, the
infested Sheliak attempts to hijack a Parada vessel and ram it into the
Sheliak command ship. Fortunately, the Sheliak is able to resist the
parasite’s control, and stops it in time. |
August,
2409 |
The
Cardassian Civil War begins, as the Cardassian resistance launches an all out
assault to overthrow Garak. Many in the military remains loyal to Garak’s
regime, but the resistance proved impossible to destroy. Several thousand
Cardassians are killed in isolated skirmishes across the Union, but in the
end, the Resistance is successful in capturing Garak, and convincing the
military to stand down. The
Vo’dal secretly deploy a minefield around the Sheliak homeworld. The
Ferengi Alliance hires several thousand Nauusican mercenaries to supplement
their ground forces. |
September,
2409 |
Garak
is convicted of crimes against sentience, including treason, murder, and
attempted genocide. He is sentenced to life imprisonment in a maximum
security prison on Cardassia Prime. The
Cardassian Forum elects Minister Petromal Vil as first minister of Cardassia. The
Chodak Eternity begins designing the S’quar class Air Superiority Fighters. |
October,
2409 |
Ust
Ol General Hagi, supreme commander of the Tzenkethi space forces, returns
from his long exile on the edge of the galaxy. Though he never tells anyone
what happened to him in that time, his experiences leave him with a burning
desire to help fight the Vo’dal. After
months of building their forces, the Sheliak and Vo’dal enter into an all out
war. The Klingon colony of Combat is annihilated; in response, the Vo’dal
destroy the Sheliak world of Epsilon Cygna. Most
races remain neutral in the conflict. The Tholians and Tzenkethi openly
support the Sheliak, while, oddly enough, the Gorn support the Klingon
Empire. The
Vo’dal declare a policy of xenocide against the Sheliak, in turn, the Sheliak
declare Shen’kur against the Vo’dal and Klingons, indicating that neither
species will be tolerated to live. Sheliak
troops deploy the Purity Bioweapon, exterminating all life on seven Klingon
systems. Casualties are estimated at more than fifteen billion. |
November,
2409 |
Gorn
exploratory teams find the ruins of an ancient civilization on a world in
sector 11686. Despite an initial skirmish with the world’s automated
defences, the system, designated Dergat, is eventually colonised by the Gorn. Admiral
Picard’s remaining Borg implants reactivate for unknown reasons. As a result,
the Vo’dal parasite infesting him is killed. The
Dominion New Order absorbs the last remaining Dominion colonies. The
Vo’dal counter attack, decimating five Sheliak worlds with Hex Missiles.
Casualties are estimated at five million – more than a fifth of the remaining
Shelia population. Parada
Exploratory teams find an abandoned Dyson’s Sphere in the Gamma Quadrant, and
quickly occupy it. |
December,
2409 |
The
Tzenkethi destroy a Klingon colony on the edge of their space. In
a desperate attempt to raise more manpower, the Sheliak begin cloning troops,
knowing that most of those created will be mentally unstable. The troops are
intended for use in a shock troop role, and are kept in stasis until needed. A
fleet of Iconian Eradicators arrives at Shelia Prime, under the command of
L’ant J’or, assigned to ensure the Sheliak war is prolonged as long as
possible. The
Sheliak begin moving their population underground, to defend against Vo’dal
Hex Missile impacts. Tholian
and Klingon vessels engage in combat over the Gorn homeworld. Though
outnumbered, the Tholians eventually succeed in driving off the Klingon
fleet, as the Gorn fleet opts to side with the Tholian forces, violating the
Klingon-Gorn Non-aggression Pact. Sheliak
forces make an unsuccessful assault on the Klingon world of Tokor. The
Parada manage to negotiate a cease fire between the Sheliak and the Vo’dal. The
most powerful and respected Hirogen alphas meet on Hiroga to discuss the fate
of the Hirogen civilization. This meeting leads to the writing of the
Declaration of the Coalition, establishing a constitution and government for
the newly reunified Hirogen people. |
January,
2410 |
Klingon
forces attempt to attack the Tzenkethi colony of Iyen, using Cardassian
Dreadnought Missiles. Unfortunately for the Klingons, the Cardassians had
already given the override codes to the Tzenkethi government, allowing them
to remotely take control of the weapons. Sheliak
forces violate the Parada cease-fire, attacking Qo’noS using K’lak Automated
Missiles. Of the ten fired, only one reaches its target, impacting a small
city on the southern continent. Several million Klingons are killed in the
attack. In
response, the Vo’dal attack Devos XII, slaughtering all colonists present. The
Parada abandon all attempts to broker peace in disgust. Klingon
forces, in revenge for the Gorn attack on their fleet, decimate the Gorn homeworld,
destroying all vessels, orbital defences and shipyards within the system,
before commencing a bombardment of the Gorn system itself. Senior Takor
Conartist is killed in the attack, as are many others in the Takor council,
along side billions of Gorn citizens. The Federation, Breen, Ferengi and
Tholian governments officially protest the Klingon attack. Shilev,
an Andorian, is elected Federation president by a narrow majority. |
February,
2410 |
Sheliak
forces reduce the Klingon colony of Bair’oT to rubble. The
Sheliak colony of Chiusia is conquered by Vo’dal forces. All Sheliak
colonists are killed. The
Gorn Confederacy begins to fall apart, as rival warlords seek to dominate the
ruins of the Gorn empire. Gorn itself remains the only world not under
military control, being protected by the Federation fleet. The
Ferengi and Breen empires offer to protect the remnants of the Gorn
Confederation, the Federation offers them membership. All offers are refused
by the Gorn warlords, though some express tentative interest in the Ferengi
offers. |
March,
2410 |
Commodore
Zeketh of the Sheliak navy leads the majority of the Sheliak fleet in a
lighting assault against the Vo’dal forces holding position at Devos XII,
destroying all enemy craft. Unfortunately, his fleet is ambushed and
destroyed while returning to Shelia Prime. Chodak
forces on exploratory missions in the Alpha Quadrant detect an Iconian
Eradicator on long range sensors, and attempt to pursue it. Gorn
leader Tran’ka Var’j, self-appointed ruler of several Gorn colonies,
announces that he is willing to have his worlds join the Federation. |
April,
2410 |
Vo’dal
forces hijack the Sheliak Gateway, transporting several thousand troops in from
their homeworld of Va’ha’andar. More than five thousand Sheliak are killed.
The Sheliak gain access to samples of Vo’dal DNA, and begin analysing them. General
Hanito of Gorn, leader of the military forces on the Gorn homeworld, is
assassinated, leaving a power vacuum on Gorn. Chodak
forces, working together with Breen warships, are able to finally track down
and disable an Iconian Eradicator, and capture its crew for interrogation.
The interrogations reveal little – all that is really determined are two
words – ‘Source code’. Afra
Aldak of the Parada Unity disappears under mysterious circumstances. Advisor
Colak replaces him as Acting Afra. Iconian
leader L’ant J’or gives the Sheliak the Omega 200 Access code, allowing them
to decloak and reactivate the Su’var’ation mother ship in sector 6726. J’or
hopes that the vessel will ensure the Vo’dal war will be prolonged longer,
and that he will eventually be able to take control of the vessel himself. Growing
desperate, Sheliak Executor Jha’dur orders the revival of the Watch project.
A series of telepaths agree to undergo massive enhancements to their
telepathic and telekinetic abilities, greatly increasing their strength in
combat. These new troops, designated ‘Neuron Enhanced Killers’, are kept
under intense scrutiny, with their freedom greatly curtailed, to prevent the
mistakes of the first Watch project from being repeated. Admiral
Picard places a message in the Federation archives, instructing the
Federation of the late twenty-fifth century to send one vessel back through
time to the date the message was recorded. He hopes this ploy will allow the
Federation access to greatly advanced technology. (See Appendix C) |

Afra
Aldak discovers that his recent illness is not naturally caused, but is the
result of being poisoned by his advisor, Colak. Acting
Afra Colak announces that Aldak has died, and appoints himself Aldak of the
Parada Unity. Afra
Aldak returns to Parada, and is able to retake control from Colak. Colak is killed
when the warship he was commanding is destroyed in combat with forces loyal
to Afra Aldak. The
Ferengi enter into a mutual defence pact with the Tzenkethi and Tholian
empires. Sheliak
researchers, following a thorough investigation of the Vo’dal DNA samples,
share several key genetic links. The researchers conclude that the Vo’dal are
another of the warrior races bred by the Iconians Korazon
is abducted by Iconian forces, and the ‘source code’ carried in her genome is
extracted, before she is returned to Shelia, completely unaware of what
happened. All
Iconian forces in the Shelia system are imprisoned by the Corporate, while
investigations into the Iconian’s role in the creation of the Vo’dal are
completed. The
Chodak begin investigations in the Spire of Te’thal archives, attempting to
determine what the Iconians are dong, and what the ‘source code’ is. The
Su’var’ation class mothership in sector 6726 completes deshrouding, and is
reactivated by Sheliak forces. Its onboard AI agrees to serve the Corporate. The
Vo’dal agree to meet with Sheliak representatives on Iconia to discuss new
information. The
Iconians begin using the Source Code to transform the bronze-age natives of
Mintaka III into a new warrior race – the Ne’gor. After
several years of negotiations, the Hunters agree to a trade route with the
Parada Unity. The
Silosian civilization begin expanding into space, colonising a small world
near their home system. Soon after, a Romulan fleet forces them to evacuate
the colony, as the Star Empire claims the system for themselves. |

Executor
Jha’dur and Vo’dal representative Mr. Orac meet on Iconia, to discuss a
possible cease fire. Jha’dur informs the Vo’dal of their common ancestry. Though
initially unwilling to accept it, Orac is finally force to believe the
evidence presented. He agrees to a cease fire, provided the Sheliak provide
some gesture to convince the troops under his command. Korazon
brutally tortures and murders Iconian leader L’ant J’or. His severed head is
eventually presented to Mr. Orac as a gesture to show to his troops. The
Overseer on Va’ha’andar learns of the Vo’dal-Sheliak peace treaty, and begins
planing to eliminate the traitorous Orac. The
Tzenkethi exploratory ship TUS S’tash encounters a Tetral Behemoth,
and is able to study the creature long enough to learn details of its unique
propulsion system. This is only the second recorded contact with the species. Breen
exploratory teams in the Gamma Quadrant find an abandoned Dyson sphere,
constructed by the Veriphos species. Several vessels are lost in an attempt
to gain access to the sphere, but eventually the Breen are able to take
control of it. Breen,
Chodak and Likarion researchers complete work on the Colossus project,
creating three massive warships, larger even than the Iconian Su’var’ation
class. Orion
Syndicate agents unleash a series of terrorist attacks on the Federation
colony of Theta Cygni. Eighty-four million citizens are killed. The
motivation for these attacks remains unknown. Afra
Aldak of the Parada Unity is contacted by the Iconians. Mr.
Orac determines that the Vo’dal Overseer is most likely still working with
the Iconians – at the very least, that he was aware of their common ancestry
with the Sheliak. Orac travels to Shelia to discuss a method of eliminating
the Overseer. Gorn
Warlords Ornu and El’bosk eliminate forces loyal to warlord Th’aro. CUS
Toran
emerges from a temporal rift. Out of control, the former Cardassian flagship
crash lands on the planet Derna, in the Bajoran system. All crew are killed
on impact. Cardassian
monitoring stations detect the energy signature of the Toran, and the
information relayed to Cardassia. A
Ferengi vessel encounters a Siolsian probe, asking for assistance against the
Romulan Empire. |

Takor
Cyron is elected as leader of the Gorn homeworld. Soon after, he is
approached by Klingon representatives, asking for an alliance. Desperate for assistance,
Cyron agrees, only to loose most of his allies on Gorn and throughout the
Confederation. The
Chodak begin preparing their forces for a confrontation with the Iconian
fleet. Afra
Aldak meets with the Iconians, and agrees to a non-aggression pact. The
Iconians secretly meet with the leadership of the Parada Elite, a former
rebel faction of the Unity, proposing a full scale alliance. A
Cardassian survey team is dispatched to Derna, in an attempt to recover the CUS
Toran and its advanced technology. Forces
from the Parada Elite attempt to claim the Toran as salvage, but are
quickly driven off by the Cardassians. The
Cardassian salvage team inadvertently reactivate a series of Borg drones,
that had boarded the Toran prior to its temporal jump. The drones
signal the Borg Collective. Silosia
is devastated by a Borg assault, but the attacking cube withdraws at the last
moment, in order to deal with the Toran situation. Almost half the
planetary population are killed in this assault. Borg
vessels assault the Cardassian colony of Tarkas III, assimilating the entire
colony. A combined Cardassian, Klingon, Tzenkethi, Ferengi, Breen, Likarion
and Dominion force is assembled to intercept them, and eliminate the Borg
infestation on the Toran. Borg
forces engage the Cardassian allied fleet in the Bajoran system. Facing defeat,
the Borg detonate a trilithium pulse into the Bajoran sun, destroying it and
everything in the system. Most of the allied fleet is able to escape, but
many ships are lost. Before
the destruction of the Bajoran system, Likarion scientists are able to download
much of the Toran’s databases, though much of the information
recovered is useless. Cardassian forces destroy the Toran from orbit,
preventing the Borg from gaining its technologies. Following
the destruction of the Bajoran system, the Bajoran wormhole closes, and is
believed lost. The
planet Bajor is somehow transported and/or recreated in an unclaimed star
system, several sectors from its original location, probably by the Wormhole
aliens. Vo’dal forces destroy the assimilated colony of Tarkas III, eliminating the Borg presence in that region. The
USS Saviour¸ a Federation starship from the thirty-third century
arrives in this time period, responding to a message placed by Federation
Admiral Picard. (See Appendix C) A
Sheliak exploratory team has a brief encounter with a sphere of unknown
origin. Details of the incident remain unclear, but some have speculated that
the sphere was, in fact, the ancient Chodak Unity Device. Chad,
son of the former chancellor Chadwick, secretly meets with the son of Klingon
general Meduk. Together, they begin plans to overthrow Chancellor G’Tok, and
seize control of the Empire. |

Mr.
Orac travels to Va’ha’andar with a team of Vo’dal, Sheliak telepaths and
Likarion to defeat the Overseer. Admiral
Picard meets with the crew of the future starship Saviour. The crew of
the Saviour inform Picard that they are here to prevent the decline of
the Federation, and the destruction of Earth. Takor
Cyron meets with the other Gorn warlords on the Tholian homeworld. After some
debate, Cyron is able to propose the forming of a new Takor council,
primarily consisting of the warlords of each of the surviving Gorn kingdoms.
His proposal is accepted, and a measure of order returns to Gorn space. The
Gorn Engineering Corps is formed, to help speed the reconstruction efforts. A
Ferengi force arrives on Silosia to help the population defend against any
new Romulan incursions. While there, they find an underground Iconian base,
buried on the planet. The Ferengi forces are able to capture the base’s
Gateway, and reactivate much of the base. The
Chodak organise a diplomatic conference on Alexandria Station to discuss the
Iconian threat. Among the attending guests are Thot Pran of Breen, Tholian
High Elder Hemlock, Romulan Admiral Sela, Sheliak ambassador Korazon, and
representatives from most of the other major governments. In
the Delta Quadrant, the Borg begin assaults against the Krenim civilization, assimilating
three colonies and over ninety million Krenim citizens. The Krenim government
is forced to launch its experimental Timeship ahead of schedule to eliminate
the Borg invasion force from the timestream. |

Admiral
Picard addresses the Federation council, announcing his plan to rescind the
Temporal Prime Directive, and use the Saviour’s technology to
strengthen the Federation. The Federation council votes on the proposal,
which passes by a narrow margin of only three votes. Most
major governments protest this decision. Iconian
forces seize a system on the edge of Likarion space to use as a base. A small
Likarion exploration team present on the planet is killed. A combined
Likarion-Chodak force is deployed, and destroys the Iconian presence, but not
without casualties. The
Chodak conference on Alexandria begins. Due to protests regarding the
Federation’s recent actions involving future technology, the Federation are
barred from attending. The Ferengi and Klingons also boycott the meeting. The
Starship Saviour travels to the Andor system, and begins upgrading its
defences. Unknown to the Federation, the crew of the ship also begin
informing the Andorian natives of the ultimate fate of the Federation (See
Appendix C), and spreading anti-human propaganda. Vo’dal
parasites infiltrate the Iconian Empire, learning much of its strengths. Alexandria
Station is transported to the Gamma Quadrant by Iconian forces. The Iconian
Empire captures all delegates on board. Chad’s
rebellion gains strength, as several minor houses begin to ally with his
forces. Mr.
Orac and his strike team confront the Overseer. Orac attempts to destroy him,
but is unable. The Overseer informs him of the truth behind his existence,
and the creation of the Vo’dal. Mr.
Orac makes a deal with the Overseer. The Sheliak are permitted to live, and
in exchange, the news of the Vo’dal-Sheliak genetic link will not be
distributed. |

The
Bajoran wormhole reopens, allowing travel between the Alpha and Gamma
quadrants once again. Representatives
of the Parada Unity meet with Breen forces in the Gamma Quadrant, and begin
feeding information to the Alpha Quadrant regarding Iconian forces. The
Iconians learn of the Unity’s treachery, and begin cutting ties with them,
choosing instead to ally with the Parada Elite faction. Andor
declares independence from the Federation. Iconian
forces capture three Chodak colonies. Breen commando
teams rescue the captured delegates from Alexandria station. Alexandria is
destroyed by Iconian forces soon after. Vo’dal,
Klingon, Sheliak, Cardassian, Chodak and Likarion representatives meet on
Qo’noS to discuss strategy against the Iconian empire. Anti-Federation
protests flare up on Vulcan. It is initially believed these protests were set
up by the Romulan Tal’shiar, but later determined that the true culprits were
Andorians from the USS Saviour. The
crew of the Saviour begin plans to eradicate the Breen species. A
Klingon-Cardassian fleet engages a Parada Elite force inside the Bajoran
wormhole, destroying it, though taking heavy casualties themselves. Ferengi,
Cardassian, and Klingon forces begin fortifying the Alpha terminus of the
wormhole, preventing the Parada Elite or the Iconians from making use of it. Sheliak
troops liberate fallen Chodak colonies, with minimal casualties. The
Parada Elite detonates a nuclear device in the capital city of Cardassia
Prime. Several million Cardassians are killed in the attack. As
a result of this attack, all governments protest the Elite’s actions, and
begin plans to eliminate the Iconian threat. The
Parada Unity severs all relations with the Elite faction. Sheliak
forces raid colonies loyal to the Parada Elite. |
November,

The
Parada Elite begins transporting their Temporal Incursion Warhead, stolen
from the Dominion several years prior, to the Iconian capital. There, they
intend to Gate the weapon to Shelia Prime, detonating it and destroying much
of the planet. The Parada Unity learns of this plan, and begins working to
destroy the Warhead before it reaches Iconius. A
Klingon-Cardassian fleet begins destroying colonies loyal to the Parada
Elite. One
of the crew of the USS Saviour, disgusted by his fellow officer’s plans,
meets with Admiral Picard, informing him of the Andorian plan. After some
debate, Picard eventually agrees to delete his initial message from the
Federation records, preventing the Andorians from receiving it in the future.
It is assumed that the resulting temporal paradox results in the complete
removal of the Andorians from history. An Iconian fleet
destroys the Ferengi-Klingon-Cardassian defence fleet. A
T’znkethi force, lead by Ust Ol General Hagi, arrives at Shelia Prime. Construction
of the Eye of Qo’noS, a massive orbital Klingon Starbase and command centre
for the Klingon fleet. A
combined Sheliak-Tzenkethi force, led by General Hagi, attacks the Parada
Elite colony of Me’leck, destroying several research labs that were
developing temporal assault cannons for the Elite forces. The
Klingon-Cardassian raider force in the Gamma Quadrant is destroyed by Iconian
forces. A
Sheliak infiltration team destroys the planetary shield around the Iconian
Ne’gor cloning centre, allowing a Chodak force to destroy the installation.
Only a handful of Ne’gor survive the loss of the centre. Mr.
Orac returns from Va’ha’andar. He says nothing of what had transpired there. The
leader of the Vulcan Reunification group is killed when her shuttle crashes
just outside the Vulcan capital. |

Parada
forces are able to destroy the Elite’s temporal warhead, before it is
delivered to the Iconian forces. The ship carrying the warhead is destroyed, causing
the weapon to detonate within the Iconius system itself. Much of the Iconian
fleet is destroyed in the explosion. The
Iconian Prime orders the destruction of all infrastructure on Iconius, giving
any investigators the impression that all life in the system had been
destroyed. He orders the evacuation of all remaining forces to the new
Iconian flagship, a massive vessel almost 1.5 thousand kilometres long. A
combined Parada Unity, Ferengi and Breen force captures the Parada Elite’s
headquarters on Pek Hurak. Afra Me’leck, ruler of the Elite, surrenders to
the Unity forces. Following
the defeat of the Elite leadership, the organization is discredited
throughout Parada space, and the remaining Elite worlds surrender to the
Unity. Parada
Afra Aldak’s condition grows worse, and is placed in cryogenic suspension, in
the hope that it will allow him to survive long enough for a cure to his
disease to be found. Afra
Me’leck is turned over to the Cardassians for trial on charges of crimes against
sentience. During his trial, an unknown assassin gains access to the court,
and kills the former Parada leader. No charges against the assassin are ever
filed. Grand
Nagus Nog begins attempts to institute reforms on Ferenginar, reducing the
powers of the mega-corporations, and granting women more freedoms. He is
overthrown and banished from Ferenginar by the Ferengi Commerce
Commissioners. It
is believed that the Founder posing as Kazago played a role in Nog’s
overthrow. Chancellor
G’Tok learns of Chad’s growing rebellion, and seeks to eliminate the
rebellion by slaying Chad. He attempts to infiltrate the organization, and is
captured by forces loyal to Chad and Meduk’s houses. Klingon
General Martok is critically injured by a Chad-loyal agent. Chad’s forces
seize control of the Klingon capital. The
son of Meduk begins to have second thoughts about Chad’s rebellion. First
contact between the Parada and the Iltarian Concordat is made, when the
Parada attempt to colonise several systems claimed by the Concordat. The
Iltarians are quick to deploy a fleet of warships to prevent Parada
intrusions on their space. |

The
son of Meduk frees G’Tok from Chad’s forces, in exchange for the return of
his family’s honour. G’Tok slays Chad in single combat. Breen
and Cardassian fleets investigate the remains of the Iconius system. There,
they encounter the Iconian flagship, and report its existence to the rest of
the galaxy. Chodak
and Vo’dal forces destroy vital Iconian bases in the Alpha Quadrant. The
Iconian flagship leaves the galaxy, hoping to establish a new power base in
the Magellanic Clouds. Jan.
12: Sheliak, Klingon, Tholian, Chodak and Tzenkethi forces capture the
Iconian Alpha Headquarters, destroying the last of the Iconian forces still
within the galaxy. In
a final act of revenge, the Iconians transport lethal bioweapons into the
atmospheres of more than a dozen key Alpha Quadrant worlds. The
Vo’dal forces leave this galaxy, returning to their homeworld of Va’ha’andar.
A small group of their vessels is assigned to eliminate the Iconian flagship. Following
the end of the Iconian war, Sheliak Executor Jha’dur steps down as Executor
of the Sheliak fleet, retiring to an outlying Corporate colony world. With
the death of Chad, and the defection of the son of Meduk, the rebellion on
Qo’noS falls apart. Klingon
General Martok recovers from his injuries. Jan
28: A Breen scientific outpost in the Andromeda galaxy detects a massive
subspace shockwave emanating from that galaxy’s core. An emergency meeting of
the Breen, Chodak, and Likarion governments is called. The
Chodak and Likarion confirm the presence of the shockwave, and determine it
will render the Andromeda spiral uninhabitable within six years. Plans for
emergency evacuation are quickly drawn up. The
Likarion determine they will be unable to evacuate their civilization in
time. Generously, the Breen offer to assign ships to aid in the transport of
the Likarion populance. The
Klingon government withdraws from the former Tholian colony of Shyar, after
receiving compensation from the Tholian and Sheliak governments for its loss. The
Sheliak Corporate establishes a permanent embassy on the Tzenkethi homeworld. The
Federation begins construction of two new starbases – one, in the ruins of
the Bajoran system, guarding the wormhole, under the command of Admiral
Sisko. The other, designated Alexandria II, is placed in orbit of
Betazed. The
Sheliak are able to reactivate the Iconian gateway found in the ruins of
their Alpha Headquarters, and claim it for the Corporate. Despite the Gateway
being found in Tholian space, the Sheliak seize it for themselves,
transporting it back to Shelia Prime. The
Krenim Imperium makes first contact with the Voth Sovereignty. |

Admiral
Jean-Luc Picard steps down as commander in chief of Starfleet, and announces
his resignation, stating that he no longer feels he is capable of carrying
out his duties effectively, and that many of his recent decisions have been
in error, and had lead to the recent decline in the Federation’s power and
influence. He is replaced by a Benzite, Fleet Admiral Mov. Federation
President Shilev resigns soon after, blaming herself for being too quick to
hand power over to Picard and Starfleet. Minister T’lok of Vulcan is elected
to replace her, and quickly gets to work increasing the Council’s influence,
and reducing Starfleet’s influence over Federation’s policy. The
Parada demand the return of technology stolen from the rebel Elite faction by
the T’znkethi. Their demands are ignored. The
Federation starship USS Indefatigable discovers the restored Bajoran
system. Its captain meets with the leader of the Kah’ May monastery, that
continued to exist intact on the planet. The
Founders evicted from Dominus by Parada forces several years prior, seize
power in the New Order Dominion, outsing Odo and his reform minded followers
in a brief struggle for control of the remnants of the Dominion. |

The
Federation advises the Ferengi Alliance that ‘Kazago’ is, in fact, a Dominion
Founder. A team of Ferengi Commissioners attempts to acquire a set of
Federation Poleron Emitters to expose the Founder, but is killed when their
ship explodes just before they return from Federation space. The
Parada Union attacks the Tzenkethi homeworld, decimating their fleet, before
destroying the Tzenkethi Parliament building from orbit, killing the entire
Tzenkethi government, as well as General Popescu. Sheliak
and Tholian peacekeepers are quickly deployed to the Tzenkethi homeworld to
ensure order is maintained in the wake of the attack, and are able to
maintain order long enough for a new government to be selected. The
Eldarian Universa makes first contact with the Dominion. The Dominion, still
caught in civil war between the traditionalist Founders of Dominus and Odo’s reformist
faction, warns the Eldarian explorers that Dominion space is disputed, and to
avoid their region of space. A
charismatic professor from the Tzenkethi University, Horax, eventually rises
to power, reinstating the Patriarch system of government, and stabilising the
Tzenkethi government. |

Jan
12: Shelia, Tzenkethi, and Tholian delegates meet in the Infernos System, to
commemorate the first anniversary of the defeat of the Iconians, and to
negotiate a new alliance. Dubbed the ‘Infernos Pact’, the new alliance was a
clear show of solidarity between the three powers. The
Ferengi Alliance declares war on the Dominion, sending a massive fleet into
the Gamma Quadrant. Dominion forces respond quickly, using an Omarion class
battleship to deploy a Temporal Incursion Warhead into the heart of the
Ferengi fleet, obliterating most of it. The remnants of the Ferengi fleet
barely make it out of Dominion space. The
Too’kari Flux Generator, a new form of planetary defence, is designed by the
Tzenkethi Union. The
Corporate Genome Facility is constructed on Shelia Prime, to coordinate
genetics research within Sheliak space. The
first Malon Malanx class Battlenought is launched. |
2413 |
Klingon
Chancellor G’Tok meets with Gorn Takor Cyron on Gorn to discuss Klingon-Gorn
relations. The talks end with the signing of a full alliance between the two
powers, and promises from G’Tok to return conquered Gorn worlds, should the
Confederation prove a loyal ally of the Klingon Empire. May
13: The Renewed Khitomer Accords are signed, reinstating the alliance between
the Federation and the Klingon Empire. Commissioner
Gronk is appointed Grand Nagus of the Ferengi Alliance. Devore
forces destroy the newly founded Krenim colony of D’ban. The Krenim Imperium
declares war against the Devore, sparking a fifteen year long interstellar
war. The
new Dominion regime begins designing the Quickening Attack Drones, a new
delivery system for the deadly Quickening biological agent. |
2414 |
Construction
of the Alexandria II starbase is completed. Kazon
forces fight several skirmishes with Vidiian warships, as Maje Salklah begins
testing his neighbour’s defences in preparation for invasion. Bajorans
across the Alpha Quadrant begin abandoning their colonies in Cardassian
space, and moving to the restored Bajoran system. |
2415 |
The
Bureau of Intelligence and Information is commissioned on the Gorn homeworld
by the Takor Council, to coordinate Gorn counter-intel efforts. |

January
21: Romulan warfleets launch a surprise assault against a Breen transwarp
node constructed on the Romulan border six years prior. The node is destroyed
almost immediately, but Romulan forces are forced to engage in a bloody
fourteen hour long battle against Breen forces. The
Breen officially declare war against the Romulan Empire. Breen
forces engage Romulan fleets across their space, and invade an outlying
Romulan system. Professor
Tholek Kajan of Shelia publishes his critically acclaimed essay collection “Conspiracies
of the Gods”, an examination of Sheliak philosophy and culture in the light
of the events and revelations of the Vo’dal and Iconian wars. The
Supreme Alpha of the Hirogen Coalition orders a halt to any further expansion
of Hirogen space, choosing instead to focus on building up the Coalition’s
infrastructure. The
Klingon Empire begins mining of the asteroids that once made up the moon of
Qo’noS, Praxis. The
last of the Likarion population are evacuated from the Andromeda Spiral, and
begin settling in the Gamma Quadrant. |
2417 |
The
subspace shockwave sweeps through the Omega Quadrant, destroying the former
worlds of the Chodak and Likarion empires. The
Breen attempt to create a new wormhole connecting the Milky Way and Andromeda
galaxies, in the hopes of salvaging anything that might have survived the
Andromeda shockwave. The experiment fails, but does create a stable link
between the Gamma and Delta quadrants of the Milky Way galaxy. Unfortunately
for the Breen, it is soon determined the Delta terminus of the wormhole is
located within Borg space. The Breen decide not to make use of the wormhole
and risk alerting the Collective to its presence. Parada
researchers discover Grontonium, an exceedingly rare element that blocks most
sensors. |
2418 |
The
Ferengi economy suffers major losses, and several major corporations are
forced into bankruptcy. Barbican
3 is constructed in Tholian space by the Infernos Pact members, to serve as
the headquarters for the fleets patrolling the disputed Tholian/Gorn border. Hirogen
hunters find the hulk of a Hirogen ship in the Aburas system, and determine
its crew died of Theta Radiation Poisoning; caused by the Malon Republic’s
use of the system as a dumping ground. The
Hirogen make first contact with the Hierarchy, who agree to sell them their
intelligence regarding the Malon, in exchange for continued peace. Unknown
agents attempt to sabotage the Sheliak flagship SCS Su’vra’ation, but
are unsuccessful. Their identity remains unknown. As a result of this
attempt, security throughout the Corporate is greatly increased. The
Likarion make first contact with the Yegani race. Four
starbases are constructed by the Klingon Empire along the Gorn-Tholian
border, cementing the Gorn Confederation’s isolation from their once allies
in the Tholian Assembly. The
first Sheliak Shev’i class atmospheric bombers are constructed. The
Klingon Empire begins designing the Gre’thor assault air fighters. |
2419 |
Chodak
military leaders decide the Chodak should settle on the worlds of the former
Chodak Star Empire, ignoring the problem that said worlds had been occupied
by the Romulans for more than a century. The
first Ferengi ‘Scarab’ class all terrain attack vehicles are produced. The
Yegani Alliance makes first contact with the Likarion Circle. Peaceful
relations are established. The
Likarion exploratory ship Harmony is forced to make an emergency
landing on the homeworld of a pre-industrial race known as the Horbar. The
natives, unfamiliar with alien races, believe the Likarion crew to be the
incarnations of their gods. The Likarion does little to correct their
mistake. The
Bajorans purchase two hundred old Klingon Vor’cha II Attack Cruisers from the
Klingon Empire. In exchange for the ships, the Bajorans allow Klingon fleets
free passage through their space. Six
hundred Kazon-Nistrum warships invade Vidiian space, only to be repelled by a
Vidiian force less than two thirds their size. The Kazon Collective
officially declares war against the Sodality. The
Krinis complete construction of their Vensoso class flagship. The
Likarion circle makes first contact with the Krinis Hegemony. The Krinis
ignore the Likarion’s attempts to meet with them. |
2420 |
The
Kazon seize two outlying Vidiian colonies. In response, the Vidiian
government threatens to use bio-weapons against the colonies, specifically
designed to target non-Vidiian DNA. The Kazon counter-threaten to execute the
entire civilian populace of the colonies should the Vidiians attempt to use
weapons of mass destruction against their troops. As a result, the war enters
a stagnant phase. The
Chodak invade Romulan space, exterminating the population of the colonies
they had decided to settle on. Weakened by their war against the Breen, the
Romulans are only able to dispatch a token force to engage the Chodak navy,
who prove unable to deal with the superior Chodak fleet. The
Romulans are forced into a humiliating peace with the Chodak, surrendering
dozens of planets to the Eternity. The
Romulans retake several system occupied by the Breen, and are able to lure
the Breen forces into a devastating ambush at Romulus. Though taking massive
losses, the remnants of the Romulan navy are able to significantly weaken the
Breen invasion force. The
Breen agree to a cease fire, and peace negotiations are held on Ri’han’su
Prime. The
Ubari make first contact with an Eldarian starship, and destroy it as soon as
it enters weapons range. The Ubari then attack the Eldarian outpost the
vessel was operating out of, destroying it too. Ubari
forces invade the homeworld of a technologically advanced race known as the
Nertu, slaughtering the entire population over a period of several months. The
Ubari begin researching the use of Uricium 391-A as an explosive. The
Eldarian government distributes all information on the Ubari to the Parada,
Dominion, and other governments, warning them of the growing threat posed by
the Supremacy. The
Likarion exploration ship Soeik enters the Eldarian home system, and
makes peaceful first contact with the Universa. |

April
5: The Treaty of Ri’han’su Prime is signed between the Romulan Empire and the
Breen. The treaty brings an end to the Breen-Romulan war, and requires the
Romulan Empire cede two systems to the Breen forces. The
Federation commissions the first Type B Excelsior and Avenger class
starships. Praetor
Letant meets with Queen t’Roval of the Revillions, and negotiates a new
agreement with the Romulan offshoots, officially merging the Romulan and
Revillion navies into a single organization. May
15: The Romulan Empire enters into a defensive alliance with the Sheliak
Corporate. The
Dominion and Parada dispatch a force of six hundred warships to investigate
rumours of the Ubari. Encountering Ubari forces at the former Nertu
homeworld, the fleet is utterly destroyed by the Ubari, who are careful to
ensure no one learns of the fate of the expedition. The
Ubari begin fortifying their outlying systems in preparation for the eventual
wars with the Parada Union and the Dominion. |
2422 |
The
Federation offers assistance to the Romulans in their war against the Breen,
but are ignored by the Star Empire. The
Tosk Hunters enter into a military alliance with the Parada. |
2423 |
The
Gorn military revives the concept of cavalry, training Gorn warriors to ride
reptilian mounts into battle. Known as Cha’ber, these space-age dragoons are trained
in large numbers, to serve as the offensive heart of Gorn armies. Almost
one hundred and fifty Hazari warships are lost in a disastrous attempt to
steal technology from a damaged Borg Cube. |
2424 |
Construction
of the Eye of Qo’noS Battlestation is finally completed. The
first Sheliak Beta class drones are bred; a sub sentient modification of the
Sheliak base genome, the Betas are bred in large numbers to alleviate the
Corporate’s critical manpower shortages. |
2425 |
The
Malon learn the Hierarchy are selling intelligence information to the Hirogen,
ensuring greater successes for the Hirogen hunters operating in Malon space. Many
of the Hierarchy’s agents within Malon space are found and captured by Malon
Intelligence. The
first Tzenkethi Kadomar class dreadnought is launched, the most powerful
warship ever constructed by the Tzenkethi. |
2426 |
The
Ferengi stock exchange reaches a five year low, in a repeat of the recession
of 2418. The
Gorn military designs the Moltron Attack Craft, a powerful armoured vehicle
that also serves as a personnel carrier. |
2427 |
A
Ferengi colony world in the Great Material Exchange undergoes a sudden and
unexpected shift of orbit, rendering it uninhabitable. Ferengi Nagus Gronk
chooses to sell the system to the Tzenkethi, rather than spend resources on
rebuilding the colony. Devore
starbase Kyon-2 is destroyed by Krenim forces, depriving the Devore navy of a
vital resupply base, and crippling the Devore’s ability to attack targets
deep within Krenim space. The Devore government is forced to sign a
cease-fire agreement with the Krenim. The
Malon Corporate Republic begins paying tribute to the Hirogen government,
bringing an end to the hunts organised against the Malon. The
‘Teku’ class Saucer is designed by the Tzenkethi, replacing several older
types of artillery. |
2428 |
The
Parada Star Rangers corps is commissioned, in response to the growing threat
posed by the Ubari Supremacy. Hirogen
forces raid the Kazon colony of Dercus II, searching for worthy prey. The
Vidiians take advantage of the Hirogen raids and the division of the Kazon
forces to liberate one of the worlds seized by Kazon forces eight years
prior. The Kazon carry out their threat to eliminate the Vidiian civilian
populace of the planets, leaving the Vidiians with only a burned husk of a
colony to retake. The war again enters a stalemate. Devore
cruisers continue to raid Krenim worlds, in violation of the Krenim-Devore
ceasefire agreement. The
Devore hire Hazari bounty hunters to investigate rumours of an El-Aurian
colony near their space. They are successful, and capture a group of 1876
El-Aurian refugees, for which the Devore authorities pay handsomely. |

The
first Federation Insignia class dreadnought is launched from Utopia Planetia
shipyards. The
FCA calls for a vote of no confidence in Grand Nagus Gronk, as Ferengi power
and influence continues to decline. May
2: Ferengi Commissioner Tograt replaces Gronk as Grand Nagus. The
first Infestor Stealth Crawlers are tested by the Chodak Eternity ground
forces. Klingon
cruiser IKS Silent Stalker encounters a stable wormhole, liking the
Alpha Quadrant with the Delta Quadrant. The Empire quickly begins authorising
exploration of the mostly unmapped region of the galaxy. Following
the Klingon discovery of a wormhole to the Delta quadrant, the Breen decide
to risk making use of their own Delta wormhole. Initial explorations are
successful, and no Borg vessels are encountered. Hirogen
forces attack the Klingon exploratory ship IKS Martok, five months
into its mission to map the Delta Quadrant. The Hirogen board the Klingon
ship, killing most of its senior staff, but the surviving Klingon crew are
eventually able to retake their ship. December
16: Sheliak warship SCS Liberation runs the Klingon blockade of the
Alpha-Delta wormhole, and arrives in the Delta Quadrant. After mapping
several systems and relaying the data to Shelia Prime, further personnel are
gated to the Delta Quadrant to further Sheliak exploration of the region. |

A
Ferengi exploratory fleet enters the Delta Quadrant, and soon after, makes
peaceful contact with the Malon Corporate Republic. The
Klingon Empire demands an immediate withdrawal of all Sheliak forces from the
Delta Quadrant. Sheliak Senior Councilor Tu’Shar responds by threatening to
share their maps of the region with every power in the quadrant, and using
the Sheliak Gateway to transport colonists, allowing every race a means to
avoid the Klingon monopoly on Delta Quadrant expansion. The Klingons
eventually compromise, and to allow small numbers of Sheliak vessels passage
through the Alpha-Delta wormhole. Eventually,
they decide sacrifices can only be organic races, and to open tentative
communications with the Likarion Circle. The
Hazari league develops primitive cloaking technology. The
first Dominion battle drones enter service. |

A
Hirogen hunting ship encounters a Vaadwaur cruiser. Eager to capture trophies
from the exotic ‘prey’, the Hirogen attempts to pursue. Unwilling to risk
detection, the Vaadwaur vessel self-destructs, doing heavy damage to the
Hirogen vessel. The
Bajoran Ascendancy launches its first Kai class heavy cruiser, the first
purely Bajoran starship designed since the fall of Bajor. The
Voth Sovereignty makes peaceful first contact with the Sheliak Corporate. The
two races establish friendly relationships quickly, and a non-aggression pact
between the two is signed later than year. The
first prototype Krenim Temporal Shield Generator is constructed. |
2432 |
The
Federation makes contact with the Voth Sovereignty, who demand they withdraw
all forces from the Delta Quadrant immediately. The Federation refuses; the
Voth retaliate by destroying all Federation outposts in the quadrant. |

A
Federation exploratory probe maps the Majoris system, and determines it to be
occupied by the Borg Collective. Among the data collected includes scans of
Borg shipyards and the incomplete hull of the Perfection Mk II Cube. April
24: The Federation’s 1st Delta Exploration fleet is destroyed by a Voth
assault force. The Federation immediately declares war; the Voth respond by
sending a massive force to destroy the Federation ships still operating
within the Delta Quadrant. The
Voth make plans for a full scale assault against the Federation core worlds,
but are advised against it by the Sheliak Corporate, who remind them that a
conquest of Earth would only ensure Voth dissidents the ability to confirm
the Distant Origin theory. Unwilling to take that risk, the Voth Elders call
for a cease-fire. A
Ferengi embassy is established on the Malon homeworld, and vice versa. A
Devore warship passes through Sheliak space, and is followed by two shrouded
Corporate warships back to its destination, a small Devore prison world. A
Sheliak observer is transported to the planet to observe the aliens and to
make contact if possible. Upon arrival, the Sheliak is caught in a pitched
battle between Devore guards and rioting prisoners, and is exposed as a
telepath. The Sheliak barely escapes, and is forced to Gate back to Shelia
Prime. One
of the prisoners, an officer in the Krenim navy, follows the Sheliak through
the Gate, and explains his situation to the Sheliak government. Official
contact with the Krenim Imperium is established soon after. The
Sheliak colonies in the Delta Quadrant are destroyed by Devore saboteurs.
Several hundred Sheliak are killed. The
Sheliak government approves plans for a well defended diplomatic station, to
be constructed in the Delta Quadrant, with ambassadors from each of the major
regional governments permanently stationed onboard. It is hoped this station,
named Delta Nine, will cement relations with friendly Delta powers,
and provide a safe beachhead for further Sheliak expansion in the quadrant. The
Federation quickly signs on to support the Delta Nine project, having
also lost its Delta colonies to hostile alien powers. The
Breen establish a small colony in the Delta Quadrant, near Borg space. The
Hierarchy makes contact with the Yridians. The
Gorn purchase information from the Yridians regarding the location of a
potential weapon of mass destruction. The information brought them to the
Tykorus system, several sectors outside known space. There, they found a
weapon described as a ‘Sun-Wave Missile’, in the ruins of an unknown alien
base. The weapon is brought back to Gorn for study. The
Malon cease paying tribute to the Hirogen, believing their alliance with the
Ferengi means they no longer need fear the Hirogen. In response, the Hirogen
leadership approve the deployment of hunters to attack both Ferengi and Malon
targets. |
2434 |
Hirogen
hunters destroy a fleet of ten Ferengi exploratory ships. The Hirogen go on
to raid several Federation colony worlds, before returning to their own
space. Chodak
ambassadors meet with the Sheliak Corporate to discuss a new alliance. The
Voth Sovereignty makes official contact with the Kazon Collective and the
Vidiian Sodality, dispatching an Evolution class battleship to make contact,
and offering to mediate talks between the two warring races. The
Hazari are hired by the Vaadwaur Republic for a covert mission. |

Captain
Jha’dur, of the Sheliak warship Manifest Destiny, breaks through the Watch blockade of
Sheliak space, and arrives at Unity Four, bringing news that the Watch
intents to force the rest of the Sheliak population to undergo the same
genetic modifications that spawned them – a procedure that would most likely
kill the vast majority of the surviving Sheliak. Gul
Dukat, now possessed by a Bajoran Pah-Wraith, seals the entrance to the
Bajoran wormhole. Captain Jadzia Dax attempts to stop him, but is killed. The
Dax symbiont is transferred to a new host, Ezri Tigan. |
2376 |
Following
the death of Executor Theilen, and the destruction of much of the Sheliak navy,
the surviving Sheliak appoint Ambassador Korazon as Senior Councillor of the
Sheliak. The
Corporate’s capital is moved to the Armens system, though most shipbuilding
and industrial production remains in the Shelia sector. Benjamin
Sisko uses an Orb of the Prophets to reopen the Bajoran wormhole. A
combined Federation Alliance and NDC force attack the Dominion headquarters
in the Alpha Quadrant, forcing their surrender, and withdrawal from the Alpha
Quadrant. |
2377 |
The
USS Voyager, under the command of Captain Kathryn Janeway, returns
from the Delta Quadrant, utilising a Borg transwarp hub. The
Ferengi capture an abandoned Dominion cloning centre, and begin breeding
small numbers of Vorta and Jem’hadar. |

A
small number of Borg vessels enter the Alpha Quadrant. Most are quickly
destroyed by vessels equipped with the Voyager technologies. |
2385 |
A
larger Borg force enters the Alpha Quadrant. Again, it is defeated, but not
before doing significant damage to several empires. |
2390 |
A
major Borg force attacks the Alpha Quadrant. Despite early victories, the Alpha
Quadrant nations are unable to permanently hold off the Borg forces, who
begin fortifying themselves within T’znkethi space. |
2395 |
Additional
Borg forces arrive from the Delta Quadrant. |
2404 |
The
last remnants of the Alpha Quadrant races agree to a desperate plan to
survive – each race sends one vessel back thirty years into the past, hoping
that with preparation and advanced technology, the empires of that time will
be able to resist the Borg onslaught. Ezri
Dax travels back in time on board one of the vessels. |

Thot
Zar cuts all communication between Breen and the rest of the galaxy. Supreme
Thot Pran travels to Breen, to determine what is going on. Upon arrival, he
is killed, and his body publicly displayed on a balcony in the Chamber of
Thots. Thot Zar takes
control of the Breen Confederacy, expelling all aliens. In response, the
Breen are removed from the NDC. Thot
Zar’s Breen regime sends an emissary to Earth, claiming to be opening
official diplomatic relations with the Federation. Upon arrival, however, the
emissary distributes a lethal bioagent into Earth’s atmosphere, a
modification of the Sheliak Purity bioweapon. Within weeks, all life on Earth
is destroyed. The
Breen Confederacy and the Federation declare war upon each other. |
2377 |
Zar’s
Breen regime conquers the Ferengi Alliance, exterminating most of the
inhabitants, and keeping the rest for slave labour. The
Borg force at Bajor is finally defeated by a combined Federation-Sheliak
force. Soon after, the Federation and the Corporate agree to a mutual defence
pact to contain Breen aggression. In
a surprise raid, Breen forces destroy the Vulcan and Andor systems, using
banned subspace weapons and bioweapons. |
2378 |
Following
massive losses against the Breen, and the loss of several core worlds, the Cardassian
Union is forces to withdrawn from the Federation-Breen war. |
2380 |
Much
of the Federation fleet is lost in combat. Following five years of defeats,
the Federation is finally forces to accept a non-aggression pact with the
Breen. Isolated
skirmishes between Federation-Sheliak forces and the Breen continue, however. |
2382 |
The
SCS Manifest Destiny is destroyed in combat with Breen forces. Most of
the crew are transported to safety onboard the USS Hood before the
vessel is destroyed, however. Among those saved is Admiral Jha’dur. |
2386 |
Breen
City Ships enter the Shelia system. Only a handful of vessels are present to
defend Shelia – only a few light scouts, fighters, and six newly constructed elite
warships, on their first shakedown cruise, under the command of Admiral
Jha’dur. During
the battle, a Breen torpedo opens a temporal rift in space time, just long
enough for five of the Sheliak vessels to pass through, sending them back in
time ten years… |

Admiral
Picard places a message in the Federation archives, instructing the Federation
of the late twenty-fifth century to send one vessel back through time to the
date the message was recorded. He hopes this ploy will allow the Federation
access to greatly advanced technology. The
Iconian forces are defeated in the same manner as the original timeline. |
Mid-25th
Century |
The
Breen and Ferengi begin expanding their transwarp network across known space,
greatly speeding exploration of the galaxy. Transwarp nodes are established in
the Gamma and Beta Quadrants, and by the 2450s, transwarp nodes are under
construction in the Delta Quadrant. With
instantaneous travel and communications across the galaxy now a reality, a
frantic scramble to expand into unclaimed space begins. The Klingon Empire
allies with the Kazon Collective, gaining control of great tracts of space in
the Delta Quadrant. The Malon and the Ferengi Alliance begin trade, while
several minor Delta Quadrant races petition to join the Federation. The
Federation opens official relations with the Voth Hierarchy. As per standard
procedure, the Federation shares much of their databases with the Voth
people. Unfortunately, the Federation databases include records of the USS
Voyager’s first contact with the Voth species, complete with the reports
of Voyager’s chief medical officer, that the Voth civilization
originated on Earth. A
Voth fleet decimates the Sol system, eradicating all life on Earth. Only a
handful of humans survive, and most of the Federation fleet is destroyed. Picard’s
message is lost in the chaos. |
Late
25th Century – 30th Century |
The
Federation begins to collapse. Without strong central authority, several outlying
worlds secede from the Federation. Vulcan is conquered by the Romulan Empire,
the Sheliak Corporate expands core ward, granting protectorate status to
Betazed and Mizar. The Klingon Empire takes advantage of the chaos to expand
into Federation space, as do several minor powers. After
several centuries of chaos, the remnants of the Federation on Andor attempt
to re-establish the Federation council. This new Federation consists of only
a handful of worlds, and is strongly dominated by Andor. Constantly under
siege by other powers, the new Federation never attains any real power. The
Andorians of this century are bitter, and tired of centuries of warfare.
Blaming the humans for the fall of the Federation, they become increasingly
xenophobic. |
Early
33rd Century |
Thot
Zadu is appointed Supreme Thot of the Confederacy. Extremely xenophobic and
expansionistic, Zadu begins a ruthless expansion of the Confederacy, by any
means necessary. The Romulan Empire, the Cardassian Republic and the Andorian
Federation are forced to ally together against this new threat. Many
Andorian colonies are ruthlessly exterminated by Breen forces in the early
days of the war. Andorian
scout forces find the ruins of the old Federation Memory Alpha central
database, and uncover a forgotten backup of Picard’s message, as well as
blueprints for a mid-29th century Timeship. The
Andorian government approves a mission to send a single vessel, equipped with
temporal drive, back through time to the Federation of the twenty-fifth century.
However, their primary goal is not to preserve the Federation, but to destroy
it, and replace it with an Andorian empire. In addition, the crew are
instructed to attempt to eliminate the Breen of that time, by any means
necessary. The
Andorian timeship USS Saviour, under the command of Captain S’vel, is sent back in time eight hundred
years… |
