Hi! I'm Rachel from the Studio Classroom Chat Room.
If you listen to the show regularly, you know that I am a runner! I've been running competitively for eight years now. I can safely estimate that I've run over 30,000 kilometers during those years. If I run 10,000 more kilometers, I will have run around the entire Earth! (The circumference of the Earth at the equator is about 40,000 kilometers.) I'd better go buy some new running shoes! By the way, I go through at least four pairs of running shoes a year. So I've bought at least 32 pairs of running shoes in the last eight years. And I'm picky--I only buy the Brooks brand of shoes! I am an ardent Brooks fan!
In April, I ran a race with teachers Andrea and Jessie, along with my husband, Matt. It was one of the hardest races I've ever run. We ran all the way up to the top of a mountain on Yangmingshan! But once I was at the top, I was blown away by the incredible view.
