Located on Interstate 10, 61 miles west of Las Cruces, NM and 61 miles east of Lordsburg, NM. We are about 35 miles north of the "Old Mexico" border. North, about 60 miles, is Silver City, NM and the "Gila National Forest"

While Deming is mostly a farming and ranching community, the mild winter weather bring in people from other states for the "winter months", and many have decided to retire here.
