electric dice spinner

This is an electric dice spinner, it is a little difficult to use but turns a dice into an interesting toy in its own right.

The only difficult bit is glueing the tetrahedron to the motor bush so the motor is central and vertical; a simple jig made with a bit of wire and a pillar drill would make this much easier.
Because the dice is always slightly out of alignment it will always wobble a little bit, it is important for the batteries to be separate from the motor for this reason, and to hold the motor quite gently. If you get it going really fast it is quite impressive.
I think the result is probably non-random, but I don't know how.

This isn't quite such fun, but is easier to make

I think it may be a better way of turning the dice with an electric motor, but I haven't tried it.
