AN ALTERNATIVE CONCEPT

“Hypothesis on MATTER” is a revolutionary new concept, which attempts to explain all physical phenomena based on just one type of fundamental particle - the Quantum of matter. These particles form, what the author calls, ‘2D Energy Fields’. Space is assumed to contain an infinite number of 2D Energy Fields extending in all directions. Nainan masterfully explains a wide array of physical phenomena, from the origin of matter to gravity and subatomic interactions to cosmological events, based on the simple mechanical interactions of quanta of matter. There is no more any need to envisage actions at a distance or to invoke irrational assumptions like diversity of forces, mass-energy equivalence, constancy of light's speed, dual nature of electric charge, singularities, big bang, etc. This new concept will radically alter our understanding of the physical universe and at the same time, explain complex physical phenomena with simple Cause and Effect relationships.

It is a long-time dream of scientists to have a unified theory, which is applicable under all conditions to all matter. This desire clearly indicates that all is not well about the present theories. Hence the search for new theory. But the science has advanced too far on assumed interactions and imaginary particles. Even very small correction attempted in the fundamental area is bound to topple the cart of science. Therefore there only very few who dares to suggest such changes. All present searches are some or other way based on present-day theories or they are continuation of present-day theories. Searches based on ‘not very correct theories’ cannot, naturally, yield a better theory. Hence scientists, in order to find a better theory, need to go outside the thinking of orthodox physics. This they are afraid to do. Any body, who dares to move outside orthodox physics in search for such a theory is immediately branded as heretics and are isolated from the main stream. Their work is not given any consideration. This tendency on the part of establishment is the main reason for the delay in any progress towards a unified theory.

I wish to present a different approach based on an alternative concept, in the hope that at least few scientist may try to read and evaluate it with unbiased mind. This is an alternative concept to explain all physical phenomena related to matter by using same principles and under same basic laws. This "hypothesis on matter" provides simple and logical explanation to all physical phenomena. The book includes most unexplained or wrongly explained phenomena. A logical system has some elementary postulations / assumptions on which its reasoning is based. Whole of this hypothesis is developed from assumption of only one type of particles – Quanta of matter - with definite properties. It is also assumed that the quanta of matter fill the entire space. No other assumed effects or virtual particles are needed to explain any phenomena of matter or its apparent interactions. Matter is inert and it cannot interact through empty space. So there is a functional entity interlinking the matter particles in the space, making it possible for their interaction. Both, the matter and the interlinking entity (which acts as a perfect liquid and offers no resistance to the motion of matter bodies through it) are made up of quanta of matter. All natural forces are different manifestation of the same basic force. Since matter is inert, this basic force is a product of the interlinking functional entity. Forces and its interactions are nothing but simple mechanical movements of the interlinking entity.

Aim of this book – a preliminary study - is to convey the concept of the hypothesis, which after further development may lead towards a unified theory of basic physical laws. This hypothesis is not based on or developed as a continuation of any of the present-day theories. This hypothesis has resulted in many conclusions, which are logical and simple but are contrary to present-day beliefs. These may, at first sight, appear to be bizarre or unorthodox. Reader is forewarned not to get discouraged by such conclusions. By following the chain of reasoning, you will shortly find them more logical, simple and better suited for the phenomena in general. Readers are humbly requested to read through the whole text, sequentially at least once, without paying much attention to the conclusions or trying to compare this hypothesis with present-day theories. Once you are acquainted with the chain of reasoning followed in the text, you may evaluate and compare the conclusions of this book with any other theories. Any part of this hypothesis taken in isolation, without having a general idea of the concept will not make much sense. Since this hypothesis is based on the properties and behavior of the postulated "quantum of matter", it is necessary to understand them (given in chapter TWO) before attempting to read the explanations on other phenomena of the matter. Most essential requirements for the readers to follow through this text are patience and open-mind.
