We are located just outside the Milpitas,CA city limits along one side of the Spring Valley golf course. Ed Levin County Park with miles of nice riding trails and picnic areas is adjacent to the other three sides of the golf course.
Our horse boarding is "self-care", however, one of our tenants feeds many of the boarders' horses for a very nominal charge. Facilities consist of two center aisle barns containing a total of 24 box stalls. Each stall has an outdoor pipe paddock. We have a large hay barn for "community" hay storage with a few box stalls to one side of it. The barns have lights, stalls have automatic waterers, and small tack rooms are available for each boarder. Most of the stalls have thick rubber mat floors (recycled conveyor belting from a cement plant). We have a decent sized illuminated outdoor riding arena plus a small turn-out area.
Our barns are usually full and there is often a waiting list. We don't have shows. Don't rent horses, Don't board studs. Just board fillies, mares & geldings.
The majority of our boarders are families whose horses are their primary recreation. They come here together, work with / ride their horse(s), clean stall(s), etc. Although several own registered horses, few are into events, showing, or contests. At least one boarder is a Tevis (endurance ride) buckle winner. One trailers horses. Another breeds Arabian horses.
Note the private un-named road to our place actually continues for another quarter mile ending at the main gate of the Chaparral Ranch. We are only a few miles east of the Hwy237(Calaveras Blvd) exit off Hwy680 in Milpitas.
