~*Untitled 1*~

7/13/99

With a handful of stones,
I sit by the ravishing lake.
Absorbing its tranquility,
Reminiscing of our endless love,
That we vowed to keep.
Many years have past since our disunion,
And many things have changed.

I wonder if things will ever be the same,
Laughing and crying together without uncertainty,
Sharing our secrets without doubt,
Having hate with love,
Pain with comfort,
And sorrow with compassion.
I miss those times dearly.

I wonder if you shall remain gone forever,
Counting down the years past,
With every stone at hand.
I am no longer able to bare this emptiness,
This uncertainty of your restoration into my life.

As I toss the last stone into the water,
I watch as my life slowly depletes,
As the ripples spread across the lake,
The life in my being is gradually drained,
I can take this no longer,
As the poison sets in,
I depart on my journey,

Lost to you on this world,
Hoping you will find me soon.
