How Does RodX Stop Odors

Basically, septic systems fail due to chemical, biological or physical causes. In the presence of a rainy or snow melt situation, normal system pressures change and cause flow to backup into the aerobic soil which contains millions of cleanup organisms per tablespoon. Once flooded, the soil bacteria "drown" and die, forming a black tarlike layer of (septic odor producing/rotten egg smell) ferrous sulfide which further blocks drainage. Finally, the flooding physically rises, backs up into the tank and, in many cases the house or rises to the surface and floods the yard. P.A.M (an active ingredient in RodX) chemically reverses the process, absorbing the water, expanding the soil, and allowing the bacteria to breathe.. ...the soil "clumps" up in larger particles, allowing passage of flow, increasing water evaporation rate up to 500%, and quickly restoring aerobic soil conditions (normal earthy smell) required for the leaching field cleanup processes.
