Listed below, you'll will find stitching and their abbreviations
HINTS
 
As in all crocheted pieces, good finishing techniques make a big difference
in the quality of the piece. Make a habit of taking care of loose ends as you
work. Thread a yarn needle with the yarn end. With wrong side facing, weave
the needle through several stitches, then reverse the direction and weave it
back through several stitches. When ends are secure, clip them off close to
work.
 
 
 
STITCHES
 
"REVERSE SINGLE CROCHET"
 
Working from left to right insert hook in st to right of hook. YO and draw
through, under and to left of loop on hook (2loops on hook) YO and draw
through both loops on hook. Reverse sc made.
 
 
"PUFF STITCH"
 
* YO hook, insert hook in stitch or space indicated. YO hook and pull up a
loop even with loops on hook: repeat from * once more, YO hook and draw
through all 5 loops on hook. Puff stitch made.
 
 
"EXTENDED SINGLE CROCHET"
 
Insert hook in stitch or space indicated, YO and pull up a loop, YO and draw
through one loop on hook, YO and draw through both loops on hook. Extended
single crochet made.
 
 
"CLUSTER"
 
* YO, insert hook in stitch or space indicated, YO and pull up a loop, YO and
draw through 2 loops on hook: repeat from * 2 times more, YO and draw through
all 4 loops on hook. Cluster stitch made.
 
 
"TREBLE CROCHET"
 
YO hook twice, insert hook in stitich or space indicated, YO and pull up a
loop (4 loops on hook), (YO and draw through 2 loops on hook) 3 times. Treble
crochet made.
 
 
 "POPCORN STITCH"
 
Work 5 treble crochet stitches in stitch or space indicated, drop loops from
hook. insert hook in first treble crochet of 5-tr group, hook dropped loop
and draw through. Popcorn stitch made.
 
 
"SINGLE CROCHET"
 
Insert hook from front under two top threads of the designated stitch. Catch
yarn with hook and draw through stitch-there will now be 2 loops on hook.
Catch yarn with hook and draw the two loops.
 
 
 "DOUBLE CROCHET"
 
Yarn over and insert hook from front under the two top threads of designated
stitch. Catch yarn with hook and draw through stitch. There is now 3 loops on
hook. Catch yarn with hook and draw through two loops. Two loops remain on
hook. Catch yarn with hook and draw through the two remaining loops on hook.
 
 
"SLIP STITCH"
 
Insert hook from the front under the two top strands of designated stitch.
Catch yarn with hook. Draw through.
