The Haemophilia Society: Haemophilia affects around 15,000 people in the UK and occur in all groups.  While Von Willebrand's affects around 1% of the population, many remain undiagnosed.  This Charity aims to ensure that all affected people and their families receive the best treatment, care and support.

Fred Metzgen ran the London Marathon on 22nd April 2007, completing the 26.2 mile course in the sweltering heat in 5 hours and 25 mins, raising over £2,300 for the Charity.
