Like forms, reports allow for the formatted presentation of data. However, where forms are predominantly used for on screen viewing, reports are intended for printed hard-copies.

One feature that was not used in forms is used more commonly within reports: headers and footers. Within these two regions, calculations can be performed on the data contained within the details section. These headers and footers can be even further classified for groups of data (i.e. sum of groups, count within group, etc.) and these headers and footers can be displayed anywhere on a page.

Reports are similar in their user interface as a print preview when they are in the display mode other than design mode. scrolling through the pages can be performed by interacting with the data control found at the bottom of the preview mode and for closer looks at the report, select the area that is desired to be seen and the screen will zoom in on the selected area.
