Well, It has been a long time. My progression has been as follows:

I must end the current list with Gentoo because Gentoo is more of a dynamic distribution of Linux. I can apply whatever updates I want whenever I want. As a result of this, the only major versions of this distribution is that of the initial installer. I have used Gentoo 1.4_rc2 and 1.4_rc4 with success.

Gentoo, in its best and primal state, compiles everything from source, and so can take at least a day or to to build an entire system, and on slow machines, such as a pentium 166, compiling a base system, Xfree for graphics and KDE for a desktop enviroment can take up to 3 weeks! Luckily, I only did that on one machine. I now build most of my systems using my fastest computer and then transfer the optimized programs to the target slower machine.
