Return

Just in from Dr. T and the Women minor Altman (which is to say World Class Cinema for almost anybody else) but enormous fun. As a matter of fact, this is the first time I've really liked Richard Gere in a movie. Wonderful work from all the ladies, especially Farrah Fawcett as the Doc's crazy wife, Laura Dern as his tippling sis-in-law, Kate Hudson (what a looker! )as his daughter whose plans for marriage go awry for reasosn best left for all to discover by themselves, Liv Tyler as the Daughter's Maid of Honor (and so much more), Shelley Long (yes, Shelley Long) as the Doc's long-suffering office Major Domo, Helen Hunt as a suprising but of extra-marital Love Interest, and Tara Reid as Hudson's sneakily jealous sister.

Lots of loving detail lavished on the mad, mad world of pampered Dallas socialites. In fact, this film may -- all by itself -- bring back hats for women.
