Return

28 Days -- as noted in my comments on Wonder Boys, telling the story of one's life in a movie is a poor idea. The same flaws are present: characters other than the main one come and go without shedding a clue to their motivations; subplots are started and left hanging for enormous screen time and aren't really resolved in a coherent manner; and above all is an overwhelming lack of a reason to care for the main character. Life is often that way from a single person's view; a screenwriter needs to be more professional and better able to tell a story to keep the audience's interest.

If you've seen the trailers, you already know the basic plot, and little is really added to it. Many of the closing scenes where Sandra Bullock's character resolves her relations with the other persons filling up screen space are empty and unbelievable (especially Viggo Mortenson's baseball pitcher). 1 planet (out of 4).
