Finally, I saw "Mystery Men," the first half of
which is hilarious, the rest of which peters out into a
Burtonesque mess. And no film should have two characters with
speech impediments/bad accents (such as those sported by Geoffrey
Rush and Paul Reubens), because after awhile, it just becomes
intolerable. Then again, any film that offers a super hero named
"The Spleen" is a must see. So, I am conflicted.
