Return

I just watched Ethan Fromme and I loved it...the symbolism alone made it great for me.

To begin with, everyone was as frozen as the landscape. And as the sexual tension built between Ethan and Matty, you could almost hear glass break...which of course, it eventually did in the form of the wifes treasured ruby red glass candy dish.

The scene where Ethan is on his knees before Matty and he buries his face in her pink satin embroidery work is so sexy...makes one want to learn needlework.

This movie may not thrill everyone but I felt it was very well played and directed extremely well. A very literate screen adaptation, to say the least. Edith Wharton would be proud.

Liam Neeson as Ethan, Joan Allen as Zenna, and Patricia Arquette as Matty Silva....all are very, very good.
