I finally went and saw American Beauty last weekend. I'm positive this forum has talked about it alot, but I wanted to put my two cents in...great movie. Annette Benning and Kevin Spacey both shined. What is the name of the "misfit" neighboor? Another great performance. I laughed my ass off during the scene with Kevin when they smoking the joint and his wife came out. I think the people next to me in the theatre thought I was nuts.
Anywhoo, great movie. The tragic portrayal of what can, and I'm sure does, happen in today's TV babysitter, dual career, "rightsizing", military childhood, drug induced society. It hit home on so many emotional issues for me, anyone else?
