Return

I went to see the movie, and I agree WHOLEHEARTEDLY with Divas review, except that I thought the script was great.

Such subtlety.

Spade, see if you can spot who is the real villian, the future Emperor of the Empire. This script tells us who he is, and begins to fill in the blanks of his true treachery and evilness.

Nielson ROCKED. Damn, that man is gorgeous in anything, and McGregor was grand too. I agree completely with Calgal regarding these two together onscreen, a duo of a treat for us women (and I'm sure some of you men too). Both characters were terrific, and were NOT boring, underdone or anything.

Having watched the Star Wars Trilogy dozens of times over the last 20 years (more, probably), I thought this was a fitting and perfect opening to the story we've all grown to know so well.

The pod scene was great, but not as spectacular as the last lightsaber fight. And Darth Maul is deliciously evil. Gad, one hopes for a repeat from him.

All in all a great time at the movies. I will go see it again, I'm sure, and this one will NOT fade away as PM so unwisely predicts.
