Return

I finally saw EB last night. I liked it. The story was completely by-the-numbers, and the "away-from-family" subplot was so tired that it needed to be euthanized, but the film excelled in its central characters and their relationships, and I liked the way it didn't go for the expected courtroom climax, preferring instead to emphasize the human impact. It didn't hurt that Roberts is, as always, easy on the eyes.

And I am trying to figure out how Soderbergh pulled off that car accident stunt in the beginning of the film. EW had a piece on it, but I have forgotten the details.
