Godzilla was the worst, in my opinion.
Irredeemably bad. I could at least laugh at moments in Lost in
Space, even if the moments weren't intended to be funny, and I
thought some of the CGI stuff, like the spiders, were cool.
Godzilla was completely ineptly made. The FX sucked (rain
obscured them, frequently, which I am sure was intentional),
Broderick and the female lead were painful to watch, the story
had about 50 "Huh?" moments (why in hell would you ever
think about performing a pregnancy test on a one-of-a-kind mutant
monster, and why would a human pregnancy test work?, for
example). Even the moment with the most potential, with Godzilla
chasing the taxi, wa ruined by several "Huh?" moments
in and of itself (if this damn lizard can out run and outmanuever
helicopters, how is a checker cab giving it trouble?).
The one thing that will almost always cause me
to hate a film is for it to insult my intelligence and make me
feel like an idiot for sitting their watching it.
