Return

I saw MI2, under less than ideal circumstances. We went to a drive-in, which has usually been a wonderful way to see a movie. But we hadn't been to this drive-in before. The sound quality wasn't up to snuff, they started the movie a half hour earlier than they should have causing it to be impossible to see in the light, and the screen was underlit. Also, the Little Raskol was having a blast climbing all over me to play with the automatic door locks, which he thought were the greatest toy since he got his Fisher Price School Bus.

But from what I saw, I wasn't too impressed. I *did* like the first film, which I thought was a very clever, original action film. This one wasted the supporting cast, and every plot twist could be seen coming miles away. Even the action scenes were third rate John Woo, and were poorly edited, making them difficult to follow.

Didn't Woo do the "dove" thing in Face/Off?
