I rented the "Way of the Gun" (starring Ryan Phillipe, Julliette Lewis, James Caan) over the weekend with my beau. Not entirely bad, but I can see why it didnt make blockbuster status! The main reason we rented it is because Ducky is in LOVE with Ryan Phillppe and of course he thought the movie was borderline "angellic"- but that is another story!
To sum it up: Ryan and his sidekick are mediocre "thugs" who stumble on to a crime of the century (how original!). They try to doante sperm to make some extra cash and overhear that a young girl (Lewis) who is a surrogate mom for a rich tycoon is heavily protected by bodygurads and the unborn child she carries is worth millions. They decide to kidnap her at her next Doctors appointment. Of course things go a little off center from there plan, and a few plot twists and little (very little) crafty dialouge take u to the movies end.
Not bad as i said, but not great either. A few good scenes through out the flick, one in paticular is a gun fight with some great cinematography. I have seen movies that were worse so if u are looking for a movie to rent- and u like "no-brainers" then "The Way of the Gun" is what u want!
A possible rating of 5- i give this movie 2 1/2 facehuggers
