speaking of video rentals ...
rented Frequency a couple weeks back. great little movie. it pulls at the heart strings while not getting into the Susan Sarandon level of weepiness. the story of a little messed up cop son getting to talk to his since deceased fireman dad back in the 70s was touching and both actors pulled it off well, especially Dennis Quaid, the dad, who i thought was superb. not to mention good looking for a man older than theMote's own Francis Urquhart.
anyway, some great acting, cool (and not overused) special effects, interesting murder mystery / serial killer plot and good directing combine to make this a great renter and would recommend it to most anyone
my rating: 4 and quarter quacks out of 5.
