well, checked out John Woo's Outbreak today - commonly referred to as M:I 2. man, this movie blew. not as putrid as the first one, but just as stupid. my god, there wasn't room for anyone other than Cruise on the huge stadium seating screen. well, he and his ego.
i don't even know where to begin dissing this movie. my main suggestion is take some of that special effects budget and buy a plot. or at least a clue or two. maybe blow up some cars that aren't off of the show room floor and, instead, buy an >idea that wasn't in the first fucking movie ...
why was ving rhames even in this movie? i mean other than to say "oh, i'm mad now" for the previews. and i've never seen a stupider evil villian. he even posted the single inept guard!
all that being said, Cruise was a cutie and looked great in the movie and Woo's direction made this flick moderately enjoyable.
i'm just glad i saw it at the mataniee price. because this clunker ain't worth no eight of my bucks.
