The Way of the Gun was a good renter, this is true. Ryan Phillippe was good, if not really all that believeable, as the tough crook. and this flick looses points for that scruffy beard he had - who thought that was a good idea??
anyway, the film flows well enough and there are some good performances (Phillippe's partner and James Caan come to mind). the movie also loses some points because some of the scene transitions were awkward and it wasn't at all obvious what was going on a couple times during the movie.
but, it was a good, entertaining movie even if there are one or two too many 'twists' thrown in at the end from outta nowhere. worth a rental in any event.
