If you are tempted to pick up SONGCATCHER at the video store, DON"T.
Songcatcher is a Hillbilly "Woman's movie", that is, it deals with lesbianism in the back woods but it is so stilted and awkward it is embarassing. I saw a trailer that made it look good. I am a folk music enthusiast and it seemed appealing.
It is just about the worst movie I've been 'privileged' to watch in the last few years. Simply awful.
