Im disappointed to say that "Best in Show" was a snooze apart from a few good moments. It wasn't that the acting wasn't fabulous, it was just that it played like a series of improvisational exercises that were stitched together quickly and rather carelessly. As a result, it was linear and flat. What seems self-evident now but was obscured before by my own expectations and the beckoning kookiness of the ads, is that dog shows are extremely boring. Although I have to admit that some scenes, especially those with Parker Posey, were pricelessly zany. They made up for a lot.
