American Community School

The American Community School is an independent, coeducational day school which offers an American educational program from prekindergarten through grade 12 for students of all nationalities. The School was founded in 1957. The school year comprises two semesters extending from August through December and from January through June.

Faculty: There are 43 full-time and 9 part-time faculty members in the 1997-98 school year, including 40 U.S. citizens, 5 host-country nationals, and 7 persons of other nationalities.

Facilities: The School is housed in a modern plant which includes 33 classrooms, 3 modern science laboratories, 2 Macintosh computer laboratories, a library, a sports and fine arts center, 2 playing fields, 2 tennis courts, and facilities for art and music education.
