As In-charge of Electrical Instrumentation and Computer service, managing
and controlling the commissioning activities of Power, Cement & Steel plants
(Boilers & ESPS). Controlling 25 Nos. site activities in India and Abroad.
Responsibilities include installation of personal computer LAN & WAN setup,
hardware and software installation, application and systems software
for service, erection, marketing, communication, spares, human resource
management. Thorough knowledge on windows based package software on
PRIMAVERA, AUTOCAD, MS-OFFICE, MS-PROJECT, VISUAL FOXPRO, VISUAL BASIC, PAGE
MAKER, LOTUS NOTES, WINDOWS-NT 4.0, ORACLE etc.

Superintendent/ Sr. Engineer, Control and Instrumentation Dept.,
National Thermal Power Corp. (NTPC), INDIA. 1982 - 1994
Supervised the construction of 4 x 210 MW generating units and their
commissioning. Responsibilities include the modification of designs of
controlling process and instrumentation systems and the procurement of
equipment's during commissioning of the power generating units.
Adapted the software systems for Distributed Digital Control, Data
Acquisition and Furnace Safeguard Supervisory Systems. Implemented, upgraded
designs of controlling processes and instrumentation systems. Developed and
maintained PC based applications on Payroll, Inventory Control, Maintenance,

Planning and Management Information Systems. Oversaw the construction and
commissioning of 4 x 67.5 MW generating units by GEC Alsthom, U.K. and
Babcock Power Ltd., U.K. Developed software for various control loops,
maintenance and performance logs. Designed "GEMCANDE" system software
combining "Command and Edit" feature of the CANDE system in to the GEMCOS
message control system. Developed the "Project planning and control" on-line
data processing system using GEMCOS. Introduced on-line payroll processing
using GEMCOS systems.
