10 Computers donated by the Project Management Centre in the University of Limerick

I nearly fell over today when I heard that the Project Management Centre in the University of Limerick have agreed to kindly donate 10 computers to the project. Suddenly the dream of setting up a fully functioning computer lab in Uganda has become a reality. Where before I had 4 computers now I have 14!

The sudden problem was about how to get all these computers to Lurgan in Northern Ireland before I head off on Friday. I had been planning on taking them by car but that was when I only had a few of them.

Also, Initially the Container Ministry (a Methodist initiative where 40 foot containers are filled through donations and then sent to various needy parts of the world) had generously offered to take as much equipment as I wanted to Uganda when they send out a container in December. When they made that offer I only had the prospect of bringing 4 or 5 computers. Still, they have a large warehouse in Lurgan and have said that if it is possible they will still try to get them all out. Without their help I wouldn't have been able to bring any computers - A big thank you to them.
