As nice and comfortable as it is in the womb, we can tell by the way J is moving around that she's not going to be happy in there for much longer. It's not hard to imagine why, you know there's absolutely no closet space in there. Anyway, Val and I decided to decorate and furnish one of the empty bedrooms as the Nursery; that is to say, Val got me off of the couch and away we went. Val and I wanted to paint the room two colors and use some sort of trim or border to split them up; Val did a great job picking out just the right paint, border, and stencils to bring it all together. Ultimately, we decided to use a wallpaper border at chair rail height to divide the colors.

Here's me doing some prep work. I had to place a horizontal line all the way around the room at the level where Val would be changing colors, and applying the border.

After I was finished, I went outside to move some shrubs ( more on that project later ). Val did almost all the work after that; here she is painting the top of the wall a light blue.

Here's a shot of the finished product. Doesn't it look awesome! the colors in the picture ( or your monitor ) may not reflect how perfect her color selections were when matching the paints to the border. You may have noticed that the colors are green and blue, and you may ask yourself, "Hey, didn't they say that the're having a girl?" Well, yes we think we are. I'm sure she'll have a pink room someday!!
