Role:

q       Lecturer in the areas listed above, which comprised of the setting the learning outcomes, exam writing, tutorials, assignment setting and directing technical staff members.

Achievement: Taught a range of different subjects from the above areas to students from a broad range of different cultures. Teaching included students from the Western Suburbs of Sydney, means a socially demanding aspect towards teaching, especially since the students come from such a broad range of educational backgrounds

Achievement: coordination of the IT program in Sydney, all associated duties of head of department such as enrolments, scheduling, hiring of staff and acquiring organisational requirements in regard to academic programs.

Below is a short summary of the applications that I have worked on during the period of 1985 – present; this includes contracts for both public organisations (ANSTO, UNSW) and private firms (Austel Data Services, WUC) in Sydney. Using these systems in the role of systems operator, programmer, systems administrator or combinations of such). Mainly the setting up of and then managing of relational database systems on various operating environments, using a range of different relational database applications whilst training either internal clients or students.

Software: Oracle 7 - 8, Rational Rose, Microsoft Office, Netscape, MS Project, Lotus suite, Borland suite of software, Paradox, Claris, Dbase IV.

Environment: Macintosh, Windows XX, and UNIX, MS-DOS.

Hardware: IBM compatible, Macintosh, PC boards and add on’s (multimedia, modems, networking cards, etc).

Programming: PL/SQL, SQL, Visual Basic, Java 1.3, Ingres, Postgres, QUEL, Fortran, Batch Programming.
