Background

When I was younger, I played a lot with Lego(R) bricks, needless to say i had way too few (anyone who ever played with this kind of bricks know that there never seem to be quite enough.) At a certain point in time, it was decided that I was too old to play with Lego, so all the pieces was collected in a large box, and put in the attic. Later, when rearranging some funiture, it would be revealed that a few pieces had been hiding underneath some piece of furniture that was to be moved. Many years later I noticed that there are a lot of people (mostly men for some reason) that show off there Lego-creations on the Internet.

Ldraw

On my looking on the internet for peoples Legto-creations, I found something kalled LDraw, a way to transform something built with Lego(R) bricks to a text file, e.g. for saving to later time, when You want to rebuild it, or sending over the Internet to other people, who might want to see what You have made. There are a lot of programs that uses the LDraw format, and my choise fell on MLCad, a nice and easy to use 3D-editor for Lego creations.

New Lego

So one day I found myself standing in the food store and looking at a Lego set, it was set 7412, an advetnturers set incluing a yeti (snowman), I have allways been interested in the questioned existance of yetis, and thought this would be a fun Lego set to have. When I had comparred the price in a few other stores I ended up buying 7411 instead (a set in the same series and about the same size, but a tiger instead of the yeti, and not too many similarities, to be quite honest). It was from this set I found my first part to create for the LDraw library, a 1x1x6 piece I failed to find, when I tried to create my first MOC (My Own Creation) into MLCad. Since that day I have bought some new Lego, and some compatibles (so far there is some Mega Bloks in my collection.)

My parts

The parts I have created for the LDraw parts library are (click on tha name link to download the .dat file):
Name Description Image Status
x392 Support 1 x 1 x 6 solid pilar First submitted to LDraw in april 2004
Still in the tracker, waiting for certification.

The LDraw library only contains Lego(R) parts, and not those of other manufacturers (pirate lego.) But since I have a few other pieces, and have created them as well, i'll put them here for others to make use of. (click on tha name link to download the .dat file)
Name Manufacturer Description Image Notes
mb2x3mud Mega Bloks Plate 2 x 3 with mud guard My first non-Lego part made for LDraw.
This file is not quite correct yet, it lacks a few edges.

MOCs

MOC's, or My own cretions, the whole idea of Lego, if You ask me. I'll put my creations here, for You to download as they get created and put I have the time to create them in LDraw format.
Name Description Image Notes
Plane Plane with ramp The first MOC I really created both IRL and in LDraw. It is also a MPD, Multi Part Document, which means there are (in this case) three models that combines to one. To be quite honest two parts make a ramp for the plane, which is the third part. The ramp needs my part x392, since it can't be found in the official LDraw parts library yet.
