Tidepools have been likened to miniature seas but conditions in a tidepool are not as steady.
For the creatures living between the tidemarks, turmoil is the norm.
Pounding waves, changing temperatures and varying salinity levels,
the in-again, out-again conditions of living several feet deep in the water
for some periods which can also be dry as a bone at other times, makes survival here difficult for
most plants and animals.
