  3. (i) NTS has to carry out the process of file retrieval and file merging. To do this, John should input SUBJECT and TOPIC.
  1. John should use the word processor to complete his essay by editing, formatting and then printing out the essay.

    2. the books he wants are available before going back to the library and he can

    also make book reservation at home. This can save his time from travelling to

    the library.

    (ii) One advantage is the instant transmission of the message to the receiver

    without delay. One disadvantage is that the mail can only be consisted of text

    and files from the computer. Hand-written materials can_t be sent.

  2. He should use a presentation software package, like PowerPoint and a spreadsheet

package, like Excel to aid his study. The former is used for presenting his work

with graphics in class while the latter is used to help him to analyze the research

statistical data.
