Shapes

Locate
shapes on drawing.

Explanation

  • When you drop the shape, Copy & Paste, a window such as shown below appears. The Copy and Paste is done on this window.
  • This shape works only on Visio2003.

Selection of Shapes

  1. To begin with, select shapes on the drawing page. The selection can be done by clicking a shape or dragging shapes.
  2. When you press the button, [SELECT] on the window left, then the names of the selected shapes appear in the list box..

CLEAR

  1. when you press button, [CLEAR], the names in the list box deleted, and the selection on the drawing pages cleared.
  2. At the same time, the data at the Point X, and Point Y are deleted, if there are.

PASTE

  1. When you click the point where you wish to paste shapes
    with mouse, The values of x and y appear in the text box , Point X and Point Y.
  2. The figure on the left show the case where the values x and y are the relative value measured from the selected shapes.
  3. Then, the button, [PASTE], is become available,
    Press the button.
  4. The selected shapes are pasted on the indicated point.

UNDO

  1. When you press the button, [UNDO], you can delete the pasted shapes.
  2. After you repeated pasting, you can delete pasted shapes by pressing the button [UNDO] same times.
  3. If you delete pasted shapes without using the button, [UNDO], but with menu "Edit/Clear or Undo" or tool bar button, "Undo", all items, names of selected shapes, Point X and Point Y, in the window,"Copy & Paste", will be cleared.

Paste shapes on the exact position.

  1. If you directly enter the values in the text box, Point X and Point Y, the selected shapes are pasted on the exact position.
  2. If the check box, Paste on relative position, is on, the values at text box, Point X and Point Y, means distance from the selected shapes.
  3. On the other hand, if the check box is off, the values at Point X and Point Y, means the absolute location on the drawing page.
  4. If the check box is in relative, and if the values at Point X and Point Y are both zero, you can paste the selected shapes on the same position of other page. But if you are going to paste on the same page, the shapes will duplicate, so an alarm message will appear to prevent duplication.

Relative and Absolute

  1. If the check box at the bottom , Paste on relative position, is on, the selected shapes are pasted on the relative position. The relative position is the distance measured from the selected shapes.
  2. If the check box is off, the selected shapes are pasted on the absolute location on the drawing page.
  3. Normally, the check box is on, in relative position.
  4. You can turn off and on the check box, only before the shapes are selected by the [SELECT] button.

Repeating PASTE

  1. If the check box, Paste on relative position, is on, when you press the button, [PASTE],more than once, the selected shapes are pasted incrementally by same distance.
  2. On the other hand, if the check box is off, when you press the button, [PASTE],more than once, the pasted shapes will duplicate, so an alarm message will appear to prevent duplication.

Unit

  1. For units , millimeter and inch are available.
  2. Normally, inch is selected.

CLOSE

  • When you press [CLOSE], the Copy & Paste Program ends.
